Introduction The study area Geographical boundary: Salzburger-Berchtesgadener Land Region focused on the 4 core areas consisting of Freilassing, Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg The region under investigation is a cross border region that lies on both sides of the Austrian-German border.
