1 Sample Well-Fed Workshop/Talk Outlines Page 1 SAMPLE SESSION OUTLINES: On the following pages are sample outlines for talks/workshops on both commercial writing and self-publishing. I can deliver talks on either subject and in lengths of anywhere from 45 minutes to two-plus hours. I can also do a combined talk on both subjects (pulling from both outlines), but to do each subject justice (i.e., more than a marginally useful top-line overview), ideally, I d like at least 90 minutes. Count on adding at least 15+ minutes for Q&A at the end of any talk. Prior to the event, I m happy to the outlines (in note-taking form: wider spaces between sections) to your event organizer, and would be grateful if you d make copies for attendees (or them to those attendees bringing their laptops). With NO paid professional writing experience, NO writing training, and NO industry contacts, he was paying all his bills in under four months using the techniques outlined in his books and seminars. He has published over 250 columns and articles and leads seminars on writing.
