SV8100 R9 SV8100 Release 9 Sales Version May 2013 SV8100 R9 Features (non- licensed) Following are the non licensed items (FOC) are received on upgrading to R9 Software (May 2013): WebPro Enhancement Save/Restore WebPro can be used to save and restore the system database WebPro is accessed via a Web Browser application Previously save/restore was only available with the PCPro software System Administrators no longer need to install PCPro software on their PC if they want to carry out moves & changes and backup of the database for the SV8100 WebPro Enhancement Upgrade Main Software WebPro can be used to upgrade the SV8100 Main system software. WebPro is accessed via a Web Browser application Previously Main Software upgrade was only available with the PCPro software System Administrators no longer need to install PCPro software on their PC if they want to upgrade the Main Software for the SV8100 SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 NAT Improvement for Registration Timers The registration and subscription timers for DT700 terminals using NAT often need to be less than those for local terminals With R9 software the timers can be set independently NAT timers need to be short to prevent the Router/Firewall blocking the ports Local timers can be longer to reduce network load NetLink Improvement for Buffer Operation The buffering operation for data sent via NetLink has been enhanced to allow the sending of DTMF digits to remote analogue trunks The buffer time has been reduced to improve all data and the system will also send DTMF digits immediately, this is required for sending on to analogue trunks The buffering operation is an optional setting for NetLink connections It works by grouping together small packets of data and sending as a single larger packet, this can reduce network load and is useful when low bandwidth connections are used SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 F- Route Enhancement for Call History Calls made from the incoming call history can now be routed via F- Route This ensures that outgoing calls follow the system configuration for F- Route rather than directly seizing the trunk VRS Message Prohibit DTMF Detection The system can be setup to not detect DTMF digits during a VRS message played to incoming Auto Attendant callers The caller will hear the complete message and then be transferred to the fall over group if setup, useful for Announcement Messages The setting is optional per VRS message SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 Mobile Extension Progress Tone Callers using the Mobile Extension feature can hear a Progress Tone rather than Ringback Tone while the call is routing to the mobile destination (Ringback tone can be confusing if the mobile extension is busy as the caller can hear Ringback tone (while the call is being routed) followed by Busy tone (when the call finally reaches the mobile phone) VRS Dialling - Single Digit Enhancement The Single Digit dialling for VRS Messages now allow more flexible routing options Each single digit option can either route to the single digit destination or wait for further digits and route to a dialled destination SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 Caller ID CLI Pass Through for Consultancy Calls The SV8100 can send the Caller ID of the held party for calls being transferred on to another external destination The external party will then receive the correct Caller ID The held party can be either an external caller or an internal extension This feature will also need to be supported by the Network Provider to send arbitrary CLI SMDR Enhancement for Virtual Loops The SMDR output has been enhanced to allow the accurate tracking of calls that are routed via the internal Virtual Loop Calls routed via a Virtual Loop are split into two separate records on the SMDR output, this enhancement links these two records together to allow the call logger to identify the combined calls SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 UserPro Translation for Local Language The UserPro output from the SV8100 is only available in English text, with R9 an additional file will be available to translate the text into the local language UserPro is used by System Administrators and is accessed via a web browser The additional translation file is loaded with the Main Software and can be easily updated with new translations SIP INFO (DTMF Support) Enables the SV8100 to receive DTMF digits from the SIP device while setting up a call, this allows SIP devices to access features like Camp- On, Message Waiting, Barge- In etc SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 SV8100 R9 Features (licensed) Following are the items received on adding the R9 Advanced Features License BE112431: Video Support over SIP Trunk Video calls for System Interconnection via SIP Trunks is available for SIP video devices (eg Polycom HDX 4000 and VVX1500D) Additionally, SIP trunk interconnection allows the SIP video device to access a Multi- Point Control Unit (MCU) to provide video conferencing over multiple SV8100 systems & video devices Mobile Extension DDI Routing Calls made from the Mobile Extension into a DDI on the SV8100 can be selectively routed as a Mobile Extension call or as a normal DDI call As a Mobile Extension call the system will send internal dial tone to the mobile user to allow them to dial into the SV8100 As a normal DDI the system will follow the DDI routing tables This gives more flexibility to Mobile Extensions to choose how they want to call into their office SV8100 R9 May 2013

SV8100 R9 Remote Conference Increase Conference Bridges Remote Conference allows users to setup a conference by dialing the pilot number for the conference bridge With R9 software the quantity of conference pilot numbers has increased from 4 to 20 There is also a new option to turn off the password request when joining the conference bridge The capacity of the conference bridge is not increased, this remains at 32 participants Call Monitor Enhancement The Barge- In feature now gives the option to enable Call Monitoring with a single Class of Service item and a new Programmable Function key, it also allows multiple monitoring Call monitor allows administrators to listen to telephone conversations and is often used for training Previously configuring call monitor required several Class of Service settings for Barge- In with Monitor Mode and did not allow multiple monitoring SV8100 R9 May 2013

R8 New Handsets DT700 Colour Display Terminals The DT700 Colour Display Terminals will be fully supported by R8. DT730 ITL-12DG Supports Giga-bit Ethernet USB and EHS support for the future DT730 ITL-12CG Supports Giga-bit Ethernet USB and EHS support for the future Colour LCD (4.3 inch FC) with backlight (no touch panel) SV8100 R8 16/11/2012

R8 R8 Free Enhancement s (These features will be available without the need for any licences to be purchased) CLI on second IRG call Incoming Ring Group Calls have always been able to ring your phone while you are connected to an existing call, however the CLI (Caller Line Identity) remained showing the initial call and details were not shown for the second IRG call. R8 allows users to see the CLI for the second IRG call and therefore allows users to make more informed decisions on how to handle the existing and new call. Station Group Calls for Members with Parked Calls Previously if a station group member put a call on Park Hold they would not be able to receive any more calls until that call was taken. R8 has taken this restriction away and allows the station group member to continue answering calls, even when they have put a caller on Park Hold, allowing work to continue and increasing the group member s productivity. Hotel Guest Name Indication A number of possible Guest Name to phone scenarios have been introduced for hotels using the SV8100 in previous releases. The options are as follows: Hotel room to hotel room Non-hotel room to hotel room Hotel room to non-hotel room R8 now gives the users (hotels) the ability to configure which items they would prefer to use, giving the customer more flexibility, and enforcing privacy where required. SV8100 R8 16/11/2012

R8 R8 Free enhancements Continued Team Key The Team Key function enhances the current Virtual Extension operation. Previously when virtual extensions were ringing the virtual key would only flash, and there would be no CLI. This sometimes restricted the user s ability to answer the call in the appropriate way. R8 will provide the caller s information (CLI) on the LCD for internal and external calls. Additionally there are new ring tones to provide less distraction to the users where required. Simplified logoff for hot-desking Logging out has been made much simpler in R8. Now a hot-desk agent can hold down the exit button for 1 second and the exit prompt will be displayed. This reduces the complexity of logging out, with no more tiresome menu searching! One Touch Keys R8 makes speed-dialling easier by making the 10 stored speed-dial numbers readily accessed by pressing the digit pad for 1 second. The relevant number is displayed on the screen and dialled. Warning tone for the IP-DECT The R8 enhancements improves the tone type given for Out of Range or Powered Off IP DECT phones. Rather than the standard busy tone (which could confuse callers as they would think the phone was busy rather than un-reachable) an unavailable tone is now given (A faster busy tone) to give the caller more information and allows them to make quicker decisions based on the status of the phone. This feature is available across all standard SIP devices. SMDR Buffer Expansion with MEMDB Part of the R8 update includes an increase in the number of call records stored should power be lost, the PC or network is off, or power-saving initiatives have been enforced. Previously 320 records were saved, with R8 this increases to 4000, building more resilience into the SV8100 and allowing important information to be stored. Once a connection returns records will be passed directly to any given Call Logging package (such as MyCalls.) SV8100 R8 16/11/2012

R8 Enhanced DND (Do not Disturb) operation A handy feature key is a DND. When pressed on idle it will stop further calls arriving at your extension. Previously however, when pressed during an existing call, the incoming call was cancelled. This is not the most professional approach to calls, and this method could be abused, particularly in a UCB environment. R8 introduces the ability to select the operation upon pressing the key, to either cancel, or leave the call in place, but will set DND for further calls, allowing a professional approach to be taken, and leaving choice to answer the call at the user s discretion. Disable soft key Introduced in R8 is the ability for users to disable soft key usage for a terminal and can also limit menu keys. This option introduces more flexibility for the user to lock down a terminal for example if being used in an unattended or communal area. Increased PC Pro Connection Accounts Up to 200 sites can now be added to the menu for connection on the PC Pro programming tool for the SV8100 allowing programmer s easy access to any one of their sites at any given time. SV8100 R8 16/11/2012

R8 R8 Advanced Feature Chargeable License needed InMail enhancement Answer Table from 8 16 The increase in answer tables from 8 to 16 in R8 gives the ability to enforce more options for the Automated Attendant answering outside calls on each line, according to time of day and day of the week via InMail. This provides more flexibility, customisation and is particularly useful for non DDI or analogue line users. Dial Action Table from More flexibility is now available for Dial Action s with an increase in tables from By providing a higher number of tables, the user has more control over how they would like to set up their Dial Action tables, and customers are provided with a wider number of options where necessary. InMail Notification Queuing R8 now gives the ability to queue notifications for a user s phone so they only become delivered during periods of activity. Previously notifications would only be delivered during an active period of notifications, otherwise notification would not occur. Now users are able to set notifications to queue, this gives the customer more information at their convenience. E.G. Notifications will queue from 5PM 9AM the next morning, once the user is active at 9AM the notifications will be delivered. ACD Caller ID based routing ACD agents can now press a function to tell the SV8100 to route future calls from this Caller ID back to them (up to a week.) This feature takes customer service to the next level, meaning the customer will speak to the agent they last spoke with eliminating the need for them to repeat themselves. This feature increases customer satisfaction and allows the agents to be more productive as no time is wasted trying to find the last operative to deal with a specific customer. WebPro Improvement The SV8100 now supports WebPro giving added functionality such as showing dynamic information like Day/Night mode, call forwards and DND. System alarms can be displayed via WebPro, ISDN status s can be viewed and USB load and save can be used. This enhancement gives users a dynamic additional option to view information increasing flexibility. SV8100 R8 16/11/2012

Release 7 Continued R7 Free enhancements (These features are available without any licenses needing to be purchased) SIP Carrier Enhancements To future proof the SV8100, the latest carrier enhancements support E164, automatically adding the + and country code aspect of the call. Although carrier specific at the moment this feature will become more popular providing a higher level of flexibility and compatibility country to country. NEC now has HIPCOM (BT Wholesale s SIP Service) Certified on the SV8100 allowing for greater carrier support and functionality. SIP Extension Authentication The SV8100 SIP phones authentication area now includes a password by default reducing the risk of 3 rd party abuse and improving the security of the local area network. Call Forward for Unplugged Extensions This function increases the availability of hotdeskers even when they are between hotdesk points for example whilst travelling; Call Forward settings remain active even when the user has logged off from one point. This includes: Call Forward Dual Ring Call Forward All Calls Immediate Call Forward Busy Call Forward No Answer This feature also applies on Unplugged DT300 s New Release Sales Update June 2012

Release 7 Continued Controlled VRS message for Call Forward Users now have the option to switch off the Loudspeaker message from the Terminal with Call Forwarded selected and also the message which gets relayed to the incoming caller. This gives the user more control over their own terminal and removes unwanted alerts and messages where necessary. Recognise Extension Location when Logging in with Netlink System In a Netlink environment it is now possible for the SV8100 to apply best routing utilising the local area network (LAN) reducing network congestion. This also takes advantage of routes which provide the lowest cost. Incoming Ringtone and Call Enhancement Users of the SV8100 can take advantage of improved personalisation features which provide the user with more information to improve efficiency such as: Separate virtual extension ringtones for Internal or External phone calls Separate ringtones for another special setting such as Operator calling Separate call volume settings dependant on whether the call is Internal/External New Release Sales Update June 2012

Release 7 Continued R7 Advanced Feature Chargeable License needed (Licenses can be downloaded on Bluespheres) VBD (Voice Band Data) on SIP Trunks PDQ s which are connected to analogue extensions now work over SIP trunks with VBD capability. This improves the performance of the VBD to provide more reliable data transmission. Internal SMDR (Station Message Recording Detail) Improvements to the SMDR tool means that internal call information can be monitored between extensions, whether it is between staff at a company or between guests in a hotel environment. MyCalls takes full advantage of this capability, meaning reports can be run and data can be analysed and used for business purposes. Ecology Power can now be cut to DT300 terminals at the switch of a function key or via a schedule, saving on the consumption of electricity, this function can be grouped by areas of the company which will benefit from power cutting. (Example: 5:00PM- 7AM, power is cut from terminals within the Manufacturing Department.) This feature allows companies to work towards Green objectives. Power save is also available dimming the function keys and LED s when a terminal is inactive. New Release Sales Update June 2012

Release 7 Continued Security Messages SV8100 s systems now have the capability to automatically and periodically send the Watching (VRS) message from built-in speaker on multiline terminal or external paging adapter during night mode. This feature can also be used with 3 rd party PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) or Emergency Button to provide a security feature such as Auto-Emergency Call with warning (VRS) message sent. The capability for the system to be programmed to automatically call the terminal on a schedule and check whether the user answers or not, if the call goes unanswered an emergency call is placed to a pre-defined destination automatically. These features: Automate business processes Increase security measures DDI Enhancements (Day of the Week, Time of Day) This advanced feature allows up to 500 DDI s to be controlled by their own time pattern, building in more flexibility in DDI call routing and allowing specific users to be exceptions of standard routing structures. New Release Sales Update June 2012

Release 6 Sales Update R6 Free Enhancements (These features are available without any licences needing to be purchased. R6 level software available on Bluespheres) Flexible CLI Previously, CLI would be fixed against a phone. Different CLI can now be sent out from an extension based on the trunk used. For businesses with phones which perform different functions, this is an excellent feature, allowing a call to be made in a different vein effortlessly. For example, if a missed call is received from a certain department, the recipient could be directed straight back to the person or department that tried to contact them, rather than being routed to the normal company number. Use of Telephone Book while call is held It is now possible to access the directory when placing a call on hold. This functionality, added to the screen as prompts, enables a call to be transferred easily even when the recipient doesn t have the number to hand. It also makes giving a caller an alternative contact number over the phone quicker and easier. Trunk route for Speed Dial entries Speed dials can now follow a trunk route rather than trunk group, meaning greater flexibility and overflow to different lines on a system. This means that if a call goes through a Premicell that is busy, it can be routed through the main telephone system instead, to avoid an engaged tone. This feature can be used to increase call handling efficiency. Press Mode Clamp key to override automatic schedule Mode Clamp Using this feature, changing mode to temporarily override the automatic schedule (such as on a Bank Holiday) can be done simply by pressing a button. This gives the customer easy control of their system. Set Mic key On / Off Lock MIC Key The state of the Mic key when making or receiving a call can now be specified. For instance, the Mic key can always be locked to on to prevent error of speaking with Mic off. New Release Sales Update Oct 2011

Release 65 Sales SV8100 Update Continued Release 5 Sales Update Remote Firmware Upload without USB Stick With remote connection with a system via PC Pro to make new uploads (such as the new R6 updates or problem fixing for a system) hours of travelling to site can be avoided. A key benefit for a reseller, saving both time and money. notification option enhancement Its easier to keep track of voic without checking in multiple locations with this option. Once the WAV file is sent via it is automatically deleted from mailbox, meaning no need to manually delete the voic . Console DSS transfer retrieval A call that is being transferred can now be retrieved if it is not answered simply by pressing the flashing button on the DSS Console. This can facilitate better service to callers, by taking back a call that has not been answered following blind transfer. R6 Advanced Feature Licence Items (These features require an advanced licence. Download available on Bluespheres.) Message Playback Options InMail now provides three new options for the playback of messages: Auto play users can choose to automatically playback new messages upon mailbox entry, without having to manually start playback, offering a time-saving benefit for frequent voic users. Change playback order depending upon the user s preference, the message playback order can be changed between first in, first out or last in, first out. Mark as new a message can be marked as new after being listened to, making it easier to treat messages that have been listened to as unhandled if they require further action. New Release Sales Update Oct 2011

Release 6 Sales Update Continued R6 Maintenance Feature Licence Items (These features require a single licence and can only be used in conjunction with the R6 Advanced Feature Licence. Download available on Bluespheres) Simple Network Maintenance Protocol The SV8100 can now be viewed from a monitor showing the IT infrastructure of a business, making it easier for the customer to manage everything from one place. Outbound IP Connection for Programming Programming can now be done by dialling in to a DDI from a phone in your own office and receiving an IP data connection call back from the system to the PC Programming Tool, offering resellers additional flexibility. This centralised management only allows access to a pre-specified CLI. This is a useful security feature and can also aid in overcoming system firewall issues. New Release Sales Update Oct 2011

Release 55 Sales SV8100 Update Release 5 Sales Update Non Licensed (These features are available without any licences needing to be purchased) Call forward on one key Handset function keys can be used to speed workflow, enabling users to forward a call to a colleague at the press of a button. Guest to IP DECT Service levels can be effortlessly improved, with the caller name displayed on an IP DECT handset; an ideal feature for boosting personal and professional service in the hospitality industry. Minibar Confirmation Confirmation tones can now be heard when entering minibar items on guest phone, providing confidence to the hotel staff. Advanced Feature Licence Items (These features require an advanced licence) Call Back to Cell Phone Remove mobile phone charges even further with new Mobile Extension capabilities; call charges are made against the system rather than the user s mobile phone. This functionality enables employees to use their own mobile phone for work purposes without being personally charged, and without giving away their personal number. IP DECT Enhancements CLI on transfer DECT phones will support the original Caller ID after a call transfer, allowing for caller recognition and a more accurate call history.. NEC Infrontia [Type Limited text] New Release Sales Update May 2011

Release 5 Sales Update Continued IP DECT Enhancements 2 nd Call Information Whilst on a call a tone can be heard to make the user aware of another caller trying to reach them, offering more flexible call handling options. Automatic access to Voic by Caller ID Users can save time whenever they check voic s, via automatic access with Caller ID, allowing users to bypass entering a Mailbox number and password. Name History of Outgoing Call Users can keep track of the outgoing calls made more easily, with the name of person corresponding to dialled number displayed in the outgoing calls list. Individually Licensed (These features require licensing on an individual basis) ACD Skill Based Routing A team can handle calls more effectively using Automatic Call Distribution with Skills Based Routing. Agents can be configured as a priority for certain calls, depending on their expertise. In an ACD Group where Skills Based Routing is used, calls are received by staff who are best suited to handling the enquiry. If a knowledgeable agent becomes available, they will start to receive the calls that they are best equipped to answer straight away. Any agent can be in more than one group. For example, by placing each employee in three ACD Skills Based Routing groups, in positions according to their abilities, a business can ensure that staff time is spent effectively, while customers receive the best possible service.
