Approximately 200 fans were inside and were found to be very drunk and anti social ******* Section 31 ****** A short time after the spotters arrived a disorder started in the pub with glasses etc being thrown. *************************Section31************************ Straight after the disorder the pub cleared with the occupants spreading out ****Section 31*** and then trying to gain entry into other bars. Some gained entry into the ****Section 31*** where almost immediately another disorder occurred this time involving ****Section311*** who had apparently charged in the bar and thrown glasses. Once again the bar then emptied with people running off in various directions. After a short time order was restored and approximately ******* Section 31 ****** Man United young anti social youths ******* Section 31 ******were controlled and stopped checked. 7 of this group did not have tickets and were issued with Sec 27 notices. ******* Section 31 ****** ******* Section 31 ****** During the half time interval a report came in from stewards that staff at the refreshments bars were being assaulted and Man United fans were trying to jump over the counter to take money from the tills. Officers were deployed into the refreshment area in full code 1 equipment including shields. These officers were on standby ******* Section 31 ****** to be used in these circumstances and were very quickly on scene. 10 Officers were assaulted 2 serious (broken nose and wrist) During the 2nd half when Man United scored the equalising goal several seats were smashed with at least 2 thrown onto the pitch. ******* Section 31 ****** with the Man United fans leaving the ground in small groups. 9 arrests on the day.

A total of 12 Coaches arrived at Villa Park, ***** Section 40******, very late, whose drivers became abusive when spoken to by officers and reported for breaches of Traffic Commissioners guidelines. The run up to the game was quiet then in the final hour before Kick off a number of arrests were made at the away turnstiles for Drunk entering, by kick off that number had reached 23, during the game more Man U fans arrested for drunk inside and drinking in view of the pitch, 2 Man U fans arrested for Affray for fighting each other in the stand, 1 Sect 5 arrest and 2 for breach of the peace, in total 35 Manchester United fans arrested, no disorder throughout the day, no damage caused to stadium
