This program is targeted to intelligent and informed women like Republican Women. The Dallas County GOP has suggested these top 10 things you can do this summer to help Republicans win in November, 2016! Meet your neighbors. Organizing a BBQ or a community picnic at a neighborhood park are great ways to meet your neighbors. Personal relationships are the best way to make meaningful relationships. Identify Republicans or independent voters in your precinct. Getting to know your neighbors is only the first step. Take the time to find out if they are conservative, liberal or persuadable. Keep it light and fun, but don t be afraid to talk about the issues of the day. ISIS, Benghazi, President Obama, the National debt, and taxes are bound to elicit interesting conversation. Become a block captain. If you are a precinct chair, find and appoint block captains to help you work your precinct. If you not a precinct chair, volunteer to be a block captain. You can find our complete list of precinct chairs at Help us identify new precinct chairs. If a nearby precinct doesn't have a precinct chair, recruit one. Just have him or her fill out our precinct chair application on our website. The Executive Committee will be appointing precinct chairs until February. Precinct Chair elections are in March. (continued on next page) Contributions are not federal tax deductible as charitable contributions. Corporate contributions are not permitted. page 2
3 (continued from previous page) Sign up for mobile alerts. With any mobile phone, text the wordvotegop to the number to instantly register. This is also a quick and easy way for you to connect friends and neighbors who also want to get involved with the Dallas GOP. Just pass on this tip. Volunteer at Dallas GOP HQ. We need volunteers on a daily basis. You can volunteer to answer phones, enter data, stuff envelopes or countless other things. Want to work from home? Then you can help us with graphics design or our website. We can plug you in. To see all the volunteer opportunities, go to DallasGOP.org/volunteer. Volunteer to be an Election Judge, alternate Election Judge or Poll Watcher. We always need Election Judges, alternate judges and poll watchers. To work as an EJ or AEJ, just call HQ at (214) or send an to elections@dallasgop.org. To work as a poll watcher, shoot an to our Ballot Integrity Chair, Berta Montes at berta@dallasgop.org. You can also check out helpful guides for Election Judges and Poll watchers at Volunteer for the Texas GOP Convention. The State Republican Convention is in Dallas in May The Dallas County party is responsible for recruiting and organizing all the volunteers at the convention. Working the convention is a great way to see behind the scenes and develop life-long memories. To be one of the select few who get to work the convention, call Dallas GOP HQ at (214) or send an to elections@dallasgop.org. Keep your network informed. Keep your precinct or block engaged this summer by keeping them informed. Prepare a monthly newsletter or distribution list. Maybe start a Twitter account or Facebook page for your precinct. Check out our Precinct Chair Grassroots Guide. Our Precinct Chair Grassroots Guide was updated last year with great information. Learn about the election process, how the party is organized at the National, State and County levels, how to canvas, and how to organize literature drops. There is so much great information that will help you organize your precinct.
