In Standby or Night mode, the SOFFS or NOFFS is added (cooling) to and subtracted (heating) from the calculated ctrol point. Schedules for e week and up to six switching points per day can be programmed in advance and repeated week after week. In additi, three different holiday schedule types H1, H2 and H3 can be programmed. One of these holiday types can be assigned to each holiday date of the year ( ). Holiday type H1 and H2 is valid ly for this specific day and is reset to normal time schedule at midnight of that day. H3 is valid for every year and repeated year after year for fixed holiday dates. H1 can be programmed to be in OFF mode the whole day and H2 to be ON for a short period of time the last day of a lger holiday period to preheat or precool the space in advance before the first occupied day. Optimum Start Program The optimum start program s objective is to minimize total energy csumpti by calculating in room ctrol applicatis the start time for heating and cooling mode which will bring its respective space temperature to the boundary of the comfort ze at the time of occupancy start. The program will start the ventilati system at the calculated start time with forced return air recirculati mixed air damper positi or full energy recovery valve positi to minimize energy csumpti during the start-up period. At a programmable time before occupancy start, the ctroller will switch the output signal to normal and will supply fresh air to the space in mixed air applicatis. The optimum start program uses historical data for self-adaptive adjustment. Night Cycle Program The night cycle program ers not ly energy cservati, but also the ability to assign OFF mode night low or high limits with 1 K hysteresis for the protecti of a space and its ctents against temperature extremes. It automatically cycles between the user selected upper and lower limits and turns full heating or cooling whenever the limits are reached. APPLICATION The R7426B,C ctrollers can be used for sequence ctrol applicatis of heating, mixed air damper or energy recovery system, and cooling. NOTE: All diagrams show proportial ctrol acti, ly. If P+I ctrol is in operati, the slopes for heating and cooling are not defined. Temperature Sequence Ctrol with, Mixed Air Dampers, and This applicati will be active with the R7426B,C ctrollers when T2 is not cnected. It can be used for sequence ctrol of a heating valve, a mixed air damper, and a cooling valve. The characteristic of each output the R7426C ctroller can be selected via the ctrol parameters DIR/REVx (x =,, or ). The diagram shows Dir characteristic for all outputs. Within the range Xp1, the damper signal is ctrolled as shown in the diagram below. If no cooling actuator is available, the ctrol parameter can be set to OFF and the damper output is maintained at 1% above ctrol point (CTRP1). 5 1 Temperature Sequence Ctrol with, Energy Recovery System, and For applicatis with energy recovery system (ERS), the cfigurati parameter CTRF has to be set to 1 to perform a reverse acting output. The adjustment MINPOS is inactive in this cfigurati and the ctrol parameter has to be set to OFF if the output should be maintained at % above the ctrol point (CTRP1) for summer operati. Within the range Xp1, the energy recovery system is ctrolled as shown in the diagram below. With the R7426C ctroller, a rotary energy recovery wheel can also be ctrolled instead of a valve if the output signal of...1 Vdc or Vdc is suitable to ctrol the rotati speed of this device. ERS 1/4 Xp1 R7426B,C TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER Low limit of CTRP2 is performed if ctrol parameter LimTyp = and high limit of CTRP2 is performed if ctrol parameter LimTyp = 1. Within the range Xp2, the damper signal is ctrolled as shown in the diagram below. If no cooling actuator is available, the ctrol parameter can be set to OFF. The set value is programmable within...5 K with the ctrol parameter RetOffs which will be added to the actual measured room temperature value to simulate exhaust air cditis. 5 ENB-31GE51 R14

6 The ecomizer mode is disabled if the value of the ctrol parameter RetOffs is programmed to OFF, or if no outdoor air temperature sensor is cnected. By comparing the outside air cditi with the exhaust air cditi, the output for the ctroller operates as follows: Mixed Air Dampers RetOffs OFF; CTRF = AIR CONDITION Outside air temperature > Exhaust air temperature Outside air temperature < Exhaust air temperature MINPOS Included in heating sequence ctrol (direct acting) CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS Outside Air Temperature Compensati Outside air temperature compensati is performed when T3 is cnected. The ctrol parameter W comp defines the compensati changeover point for summer and winter compensati. The degree of summer and winter compensati is defined by ctrol parameters Wi and Su. Winter compensati is performed if temperature T3 < W comp. Summer compensati is performed if temperature T3 > W comp. Xwh / Xwc T1/T2 Smoothing Filter for Outside Air Temperature Input A smoothing filter for the outside air temperature input T3 is incorporated to eliminate sudden temperature variatis. This provides more stable operati of the ctrol system. This functi will work ly if the ctroller parameters have never been changed by means of the PC tool. Occupied/Unoccupied Functi (SOFFS) A potential free ctact can be used between terminals 1 and 4 to switch the ctroller between occupied (ctact closed) or unoccupied (ctact open) mode. The input is active during Comfort and Standby mode. In occupied mode, the temperature set point W1 is used for the ctrol point calculati. In unoccupied mode, the SOFFS parameter value is added (cooling) to and subtracted (heating) from the calculated ctrol point for cooling and heating. The diagram below shows the occupied/unoccupied functi for sequence ctrol. 7 In the case of ctrollers with RTC, the ON/OFF output will be switched. A closed ctact performs a frost recovery: Cditis of Outdoor Temp. The deviati input signal X w rh received from the humidity ctroller is compared with the cooling deviati signal of the temperature ctrol (X wc). The signal with the highest cooling demand is used to ctrol the cooling output. OUTPUT SEQUENCE OPERATION The ctrollers are supplied from the factory cfigured for sequence operati of heating, mixed air, and cooling ctrol. NOTE: If a ctrol range of...13 F (C.4 = 1) is selected, then ly multi-stage heating (Ymode = 1) is applicable. The output sequence operati can be cfigured for the following ctrol applicatis in accordance with the parameter setting CTRF or YMode: Sequence ctrol for cooling with three outputs (CTRF = and YMode = 1) 1 throttling range OAID Sequence ctrol for heating with three outputs (CTRF = 1 and YMode = 1) 1 OAID throttling range Xw Xw Sequence ctrol with two outputs for heating and e output for cooling (YMode = 2) 1 OAIC Sequence ctrol with e output for heating and two outputs for cooling (YMode = 3) 1 / OAIH OAIC OUTPUT FUNCTIONS The R7426B ctrollers provide a choice of output signals suitable for operating a range of final ctrol devices according to the parameter setting of YMode and YxMode (x = 1, 2, or 3) ctrol parameters. 3-positi Output for Valve or Damper Actuators (floating mode) The ctroller cverts the deviati signal to a proportial output pulse which drives the actuators depending the Runtimex (x =,, or ) parameter value. The interval or total cycle time is set by the ctrol parameter Runtime. 9 Two-Positi Damper Ctrol If the value of the ctrol parameter YMode = 4, the damper output signal operates as two-positi ctrol as follows: If the ctroller mode OFF (Comfort- Standby- or Nightmode), the output signal is set to 1%. If the ctroller mode = OFF, the output signal is set to %. The output sequence of / operates as Temperature Sequence Ctrol with and. ON/OFF Output The ON/OFF output is provided to switch fans, pumps, or other MicriK 2 ctroller without RTC. If e of the following cditis occur the ctroller switches the ON/OFF output from OFF to ON after a fixed 3-minute time delay: The ctroller mode OFF (Comfort, Standby, or Night mode). The night cycle program is active. The optimum start program is active. If e of the following cditis occur, the ctroller switches the ON/OFF output from ON to OFF: The ctroller mode = OFF. The freeze protecti input is active. ADJUSTMENTS Ctrol Point / Setpoint Adjustment (CPATYP) The ctrol or setpoint can be adjusted via the internal or an external potentiometer cnected to the CPA/SPA input. The CPA/SPA type is selected using the ctrol parameter CPATYP (see page 2, Technical Data).
