2 THE CHALLENGE Do you dream of great workplaces, inspiring leaders and new ways of working and collaborating in large companies? Then this challenge is for you! THE CONTEXT Digital is game changer for businesses. It is reshaping business models. It is impacting whole corporations, changing the relations between employees and corporate culture. Everything is being accelerated. Innovation is the watchword and agility has become the new norm. More than being a simple enabler, digital has also fostered new expectations. You are the next employees. How should corporations manage this change? What do you aspire to? Choose one of the following topics and design the ultimate company: Leadership Digital organization Collaboration
3 THE TOPICS Leadership Portray the company leadership and management of your dreams What does it take to be a leader in the digital age? What is the ideal management style? How should decisions be taken and large organizations be governed, in the digital age? How should happiness and enthusiasm be managed? What does tomorrow s career path look like? What is the future of talent management (recruitment, development, empowerment, performance, evaluation, )?... Ex: The leader of the future. Depict the innovative and agile organization of the future How should large corporations be organized in the digital age? What does data change? How can agility be fostered? How can an entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets be developed? What should the structure look like globally or more specifically within its different functions (marketing, IT, HR, commercial, production, etc.)?... Ex: The digital factory of the future. Digital organization Collaboration Imagine the company that leverages collective intelligence How should people work and collaborate in the digital age? How can collective intelligence be fostered? How do you master the art of mobilization & change management in the digital age? What is your ideal working space? What does it mean to work in open ecosystems and how can communities work together? Ex: The workplace of the future. These are just examples to get you started. Let your imagination run free and surprise us!
4 HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? 1 BUILD A TEAM OF THREE Every student can take part in this challenge, so try mixing profiles: engineering, business, technical, design, sociology Multidisciplinary teams are more likely to devise more innovative projects! 5 HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? 2 SELECT THE CITY YOU WANT TO COMPETE IN in your home country or at the closest office
6 HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? 3 SEND US A PRESENTATION OF YOUR IDEA Use the format of your choice: slides, audio or video file, poster, poem,...everything is allowed! There is no restriction on the content either: Be creative but keep it short and to the point! You should be able to pitch your idea in under 5 minutes As this is an international challenge, everything will have to be in English When submitting your idea, don t forget to: Tell us which one of the three topics you choose Attach a team description (name, school, contact details of the team members) Send everything to audrey@nextcontinent.net Deadline: July 1 st, 11:59pm, CEST PITCH YOUR IDEA IN FRONT OF OUR JURIES Pitch sessions will take place on July 6 th, in the evening. You will be pitching in the office you chose to compete in. Your pitch should take no longer than 5 minutes and should be held in English. One winning team will be chosen per office. 4
7 HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE? 5 GRAND HACKATHON FINALE IN PARIS! The finalists will be invited to Paris on July st to take part in a two-day hackathon to prototype their ideas. This will be organized in parallel with other hackathons, involving over 400 people (consultants, hackers, designers, developers, ) battling for innovation. The icing on the cake, you will even be able to stay for the weekend and enjoy the summer in Paris! Your travel expenses and accommodation costs for the finale will be covered by Nextcontinent.

Last piece of advice: Bear in mind that ideas will have to lead to concrete prototypes that could be implemented in companies.
