PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Our May speaker was Gary Snyder who publishes a biweekly newsletter The Nonprofit Imperative. Mr. Snyder focuses on all aspects of the nonprofit organization. An accomplished board member, speaker, and gifted consultant, he brings in-depth experiences to bear on a wide variety of charity-related issues. Mr. Snyder provided insight to the frauds in the area of non-profits, which most non-cfes don t believe exist. After producing 180 editions of our chapter s newsletter over 18 years our editor and publisher, Gerry Humes, is passing the baton to Kimberly Hughes who will be taking over in September! Several years back Gerry s fine design landed our chapter newsletter of the year which was awarded by the ACFE s leadership. Gerry, we will miss your tiresome efforts and quick wit! Kimberly is with TD Auto Finance as an Investigator in Global Security US Financial Crimes & Fraud Management Group. Please welcome Kimberly as our new editor and publisher! Our June speaker will be chapter member Arlen Dolly who will present a fraud case study in which he was involved. Knowing Arlen s personality this should be a fun evening! Arlen will be presenting two large embezzlement cases in which one involved a long-term branch manager and the other a personal banker. Both individuals earned the trust of their victims and then took advantage of them. In both instances Arlen will take you through the entire process, from case initiation to sentencing. We will be breaking for the summer. If any of you are doing any community anti-fraud efforts, please send me an over view and we will share this with our membership. Be safe and have fun this summer, see you all in September! Hope to see you all there, be certain to RSVP, and bring a friend! Jerry
