As a free event, College Night is held every year in spring and open to the entire community providing a one-stop shopping venue for students to meet face to face with over 60 representatives from universities, colleges, trade schools, career and technical institutions, military and military academies. Students and parents can gain valuable information on admissions, academic programs, campus life and more! 2 T.V. & Broadcast Media Students Reach Semi-finals L Anse Creuse High School North students Nick D. and Lauren M., made it to the semifinals of the Courageous Persuaders for their creation of a 30-second video centering on the dangers of underage drinking. It s quite an honor to be chosen as only 60 videos nationwide were selected for the semi-finals out of over 700 entries said Mr. Kaufman, TV and Broadcast Media teacher. The final contest winner will be announced by Fox 2 News at the awards ceremony held on Wednesday, May 21, The winning student receives a $3000 scholarship, and the honor of having their video highlighted on CourageousPersuaders.com, have their video shown in select Secretary of State branch offices throughout Michigan.
