1 Welcome to the Vanguard Continuing Education Program. This tutorial will help you better understand the functionality of the system. If you have a question that is not answered here, please contact us via at support@questce.com or by calling Navigating Your Student Dashboard Page Your Student Dashboard is designed to allow you access to your specific courses in a very straight forward and user-friendly format. The features of this page are described in detail below. Student Dashboard Features- Descriptions and terms applicable to Vanguard students Welcome Message- Your dashboard welcomes you with a personalized greeting Student Alert Message- The message located in the yellow text box displays personalized directions for the student to add courses to his or her profile. Homepage: This link will bring you back to your initial Student Dashboard page. Certificates: This link gives you access to view or print a PDF certificate for any course you successfully completed on your Student Dashboard. (Some state-specific expectations apply) Add CE Courses: This link gives you access to a Course Catalog where you will be able to select specific courses to earn specific credits you are looking to receive. Support: Contains details for students to contact Quest CE with questions, Frequently Asked Questions, Quest CE s Privacy Policy and Minimal System Requirement details. Page 1

2 Adding a Course to Your Profile 1. Click the Course Catalog link from the grey menu options on the left of your Student Dashboard 2. Use the State or Designation Category on the top of your screen the category of the catalog you want to browse. Then click the state or designation board to proceed. Page 2

3 3. Scroll through the list of available courses in the category previously selected. Click the plus sign of the course(s) you want added to your profile 4. Then Click Back to Home Page 3

4 5. Notice the selected course has now been added into your Student Profile. Notice the Status of your newly added course is currently Not Started. Click Start to begin the content portion of your course. Page 4

5 Completing a Course Online Learning Management System 1. Click Start to begin a course in your Student Profile (Student Dashboard) page. 2. You will be taken to a course landing page which displays the course title, current status, amount of CE credits awarded for completion and course description. Review the details, then Click Start Course to begin. Page 5

6 3. Read the content provided on each page of the presentation. When you have finished reading, click the Next button to proceed through the course. Click here to return to your Student Dashboard page. Your progress will be bookmarked. You have the ability to return to your Student Dashboard from within the content portion of a course by clicking the Training Dashboard link at the top of the page. The Bookmark Feature will automatically save your progress within the course content. You will be able to open the course content at a later point at the same progress point as your previous visit. Some courses may contain Section Reviews. When you come to Section Review slide, you must answer a review question correctly to proceed with the presentation. Page 6

7 Q!JEST CE Online Learning Management System 4. When you have reached the end of the content slides, click Unlock Exam to open the exam portion of the course. Page 7

9 Completing an Exam Online Learning Management System All exams are displayed in a multiple choice format All exams are designed to be taken in a closed-book format- meaning you are not allowed access to the course content while actively completing an exam. Exams must be completed in one sitting- the bookmark feature does not apply to the exam portion. You cannot exit an exam in the middle and return to continue at the same point later on. Select the choice that best answers the question according to the course content you have read. To successfully pass an exam, you must receive a score of 70% or higher. Once you have selected a response, click Next Question to proceed to the next question. If you successfully pass the exam, you will have the option to Mark the Course Complete. If you do not successfully pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher, you will have the option to Retake the Exam until it has been successfully completed. You can also review the course material again from your Student Dashboard page. Processing of Earned CE Credits Upon successful completion of a course, Quest CE will process your State Insurance or Designation Credits within 2 business days. If your state allows you to print your own completion certificates, you can access a completion certificate immediately through the Certificate tab on left side of your Student Dashboard page. If your state does not allow you to print your own certificate, one will be sent to you within 5 business days. Page 8
