7 L06-A0210 Support to the social and economic promotion of women in different regions affected by the war (Beqaa, South Lebanon) 22-Mar-07 ARCS to 21-Mar-08 Favor the rapid restart and improvement of the agricultural production of women heads of family, of women cooperatives and of women micro-entrepreneurs in the areas affected by the war and their strengthening as subjects for social promotion and local development in the intervention areas. 11 L06-A0724 Project for the rehabilitation of 3 agricultural cooperatives affected by the conflict in the regions of Hermel and Baalbek 12-Mar-07 ICU to 11-Mar-08 Restart of productive activities of the cooperatives of Hermel, Nabi Ousman e Btedhi which suffered direct or indirect damage from the conflict; improvement of their performance in qualitative and quantitative terms and of their capacity to provide technical assistance to farmers. R1: Service center of the agricultural cooperative of Hermel is rehabilitated and operational, and the technical knowledge of the farmers improved with the training program on better production technique for extra virgin olive oil. R2: Center for the conservation and packaging of fruit and vegetables for the agricultural cooperative of Nabi Ousman is completed and operative with technical knowledge of the farmers improved through the training program on cultivation techniques of fruit trees and vegetables; women trained in new conservation, packaging and transformation techniques of agricultural products. R3: Collective under-pressure irrigation system of the cooperative of Btedhi is completed and operative on 6 ha of new fruit trees and vegetable fields. R1: The service centers of the cooperatives of Taibeh, Tebnin, Srifa and Cana are rehabilitated and operational and their transformation capacity is increased and quality of oil improved. R2: The production capacity and the cultivation techniques of the olive fields and of the conservation of table olives is improved, in 10 oil cooperatives in South Lebanon. 24 L06-B1118 Intervention of Mine Risk Education and strengthening of social activities as an emergency response to the urgent needs of civil protection of postconflict in South Lebanon 29-Mar-07 INTERSOS to 28-Mar-08 Contribute to the rapid post-conflict recovery in 4 Caza in the Mohafaza of South Lebanon and Nabatiye, addressing two main problems: a) risk of UXO/mines that threatens mostly those groups whose houses and camps were bombarded and who depend on these belongings for their survival; b) victims of UXO/mines to be supported psychologically and with services, potentially addressing their socioeconomic insertion. R1: Training of staff for the dissemination of the message of prevention from dangers deriving from UXO/mines to the different target groups.
