Amend the following: Sanitary MH 13 Base I.D. = 48 to 60. QUESTIONS FROM BIDDERS Bidders have transmitted requests for written interpretations to the Bidding Documents for this Project. The statements given below are not part of this Addendum, unless the answer to the question is addressed within the text of this Addendum. The questions followed by a response are as follows: 1. Question: Page 7 of the plans lists that we are to include removal and replacement of the existing sidewalk, curb and curb ramp in the Pedestrian Curb Ramp Item. How much curb and sidewalk are we to include for each ramp? This is not typical City of Toledo or ODOT spec, and there is no where on the plans showing the 50 ramps. The curb and sidewalk are typically paid under there respective items, if this is to be bid per plan we need a quantity to include per ramp for sidewalk and curb. Answer: The 50 pedestrian ramps are called out at each location as remove and replace pedestrian ramp. Quantities have been separated into pertinent 202, 608, and 609 items in Addendum No Question: In Addendum No. 1 it stated that the cost for the trench patching should be included in the cost of the pipe, but the general note on sheet says it should be included in the pipe if there is not a separate bid item. There is a separate bid item though. Please clarify. Answer: Trench patching costs covered under the cost of pipe include excavation, stone bedding, conduit etc. as specified in the General Note on sheet 7 (Item 603 Conduit, Type B and C). Items for the proposed pavement with separate bid items are to be paid under their own bid item (ex. Item 301, 407, 408, 446 ). 3. Question: There is no detail for item spec cross walk concrete ribbon, 15. Answer: The cross walk concrete ribbon, 15 refers to crosswalk lines. Please place a 15 wide crosswalk line complying with Item 642 Traffic Paint through any full depth or trench areas that are disturbed. 4. Question: Why is there a separate item spec additional cost for Drives? Drive items includes MS. Answer: Item 452 for Driveways and Alleys have been updated in Addendum No. 2 to not specify MS. Item Spec Additional Cost for Medium Set Concrete for Pavement Contingency will remain. 5. Question: What fabric should we use, Tensar TX-160 per the specs or Type A per the bid items? Answer: Item Spec. Non-woven geotextile fabri, , Type A Contingency and the general note for Geogrid on sheet 8 have been updated in Addendum No. 2 to both specify Geogrid, Tensar TX- 160.
