Summer course taught for disadvantaged, potential incoming freshmen a liated with the Talent Development Program. Part of a small team tasked with the development of exams and Mathematica projects. Other Experience Mathematics Tutor University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI (Summer ) Provided tutoring for mathematics courses and the computer algebra system Mathematica. Mathematics Tutor/Mentor University of Rhode Island Talent Development Program, Kingston, RI (Summers ) Served as a college algebra tutor and mentor for the program, whose mission is to recruit, admit, support, and retain in-state students of color and students from disadvantaged backgrounds who, without the support of the program, could not expect to be admitted to the university. Mathematics Tutor Fitchburg State University Academic Success Center, Fitchburg, MA(September 2007-May 2010) Provided tutoring for undergraduate mathematics courses, the computer algebra system Maple, and the statistical software Minitab to the general student body, as well as on an individual basis for students a liated with the Multicultural Center and Disabilities Services. Periodically observed lectures and provided pedigogical feedback and support. URI Calc Bowl Orginizational Sta, University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI (April ) Recruited calculus students to participate in and helped run the mathematics department s annual Calc Bowl, a lively team-based calculus competition among groups of calculus students from URI and local high schools. Outreach Activities URI Summer Program for NECAP Preparedness Program Sta, University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI (Summer 2013) Part of a small group responsible for monitoring the online progress on selected objectives in Khan Academy of approximately 60 Cranston East High School students struggling with New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) preparedness.
