2 Introduction As the demand for attention to detail and timeliness in fund administration increases, there has never been a more critical time for fund administrators to arm themselves with the academic and practical knowledge required to provide an industry-leading service, and ensure that they are fully equipped to meet the ever-increasing industry and regulatory demands. The Diploma in Fund Administration enables you to demonstrate, through a certificated qualification, that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a first class fund administration service. Overview The Diploma provides a detailed insight into the administration of retail funds or alternative investment funds. It is aimed at practitioners who already have some understanding and experience in the industry and wish to further develop their expertise. Applicants can choose to study one of two pathways: i) Retail Funds or ii) Alternative Investment Funds. Entry Advice Admission to the Diploma is dependent on having completed the Advanced Certificate in Fund Administration unless exemption has been obtained. 4 Delivery and Assessment The Diploma is a nine month distance learning course delivered via an online learning platform providing access to all course materials, including webinars and self-assessment tools, and discussion forum and chat facilities. Additional study options, including a one day coaching workshop delivered by an accredited tutor (subject to sufficient demand) and a tutor support package, are available. Assessment is by way of a 3,500 word assignment and a three hour closed-book examination.
