2 Examined the geographic distribution of global MOOC students using ArcGIS, focusing the extent to which MOOCs increase access to higher education Member, Laboratory for the Study of American Values Generated, pilot- tested, and launched two nationally representative public opinion studies via YouGov (N=1,000 in each). Analyzed descriptive and experimental findings for inclusion in my primary dissertation paper Present Research Assistant, Addressing Practical Problems in Achievement Gap Estimation: Nonparametric Methods for Censored Data (with Sean Reardon and Andrew Ho) Tested a novel achievement gap estimation technique using 19 National Center for Education Statistics datasets and STATA. Used the technique to estimate the effect of No Child Left Behind on racial achievement gaps and served as co- author on several related publications Present Research Assistant, The Availability of Early Childhood Education and Care in the United States (with Susanna Loeb, Daphna Bassok, and Maria Fitzpatrick) Amassed a 50- state database of early childhood education regulations from Linked the database with the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study- Birth Cohort and analyzed infant/toddler and preschool program quality nationwide. Co- authored related publications Research Assistant, The Effects of Racial School Segregation on the Black- White Achievement Gap (with Sean Reardon) Collected national data on school desegregation court orders and researched their legal history and continuing implications for education policy.
