2 patients and knowledgeably answer questions. o RAD3C: The student has adequate knowledge of radiographic procedures and competently applies technical skills in clinical applications. Both outcomes assess more than one behavior/skill/knowledge making it difficult to accurately measure the learning outcome using the clinical evaluation tool as the assessment method. Will split the learning outcomes into outcomes that focus on measuring one behavior/skill/knowledge at a time. In assessing these SLO s, evaluations from multiple grading periods were used. Need to choose a specific time for assessment and indicate the week of assessment in the criterion. For example, 16 week clinical evaluation. More than one performance criteria on the assessment tool was used to measure both learning outcomes. Used the entire technical skills section of clinical eval for RAD3C SLO Used #3 on progress report and #1 & #11 on clinical eval for RAD3A SLO Choose one criterion to measure one learning outcome for more accurate assessment Spring 2016 Course SLO s ( ed to faculty). Complete by April 2016 dept meeting o Discuss learning outcomes to be assessed (see attachments for details), means of assessment, & assessment tools o Engisch: RAD 61A completed RAD 61A- The student will identify the general components and functions of the x-ray tube. Students did not meet criterion. Use of results- Students did not meet criteria. Further inquiry from faculty regarding student s poor performance indicates students did not study for exam because they studied for another program course exam. This student feedback is documented. Considering the results and student feedback, will not make changes to this SLO. Will assess again next year. Results were shared and discussed with program during Jan 11, 2016 dept RAD 3C by end of winter, 2/10/16 SLO will be revised as recommended and will use an assessment tool/method that is effective in measuring outcome Do not delete Fall 2015 data assist if needed
