The Cabinet has approved the National Mineral Exploration Policy (NMEP) on Wednesday, which will pave the way for auction of 1 prospective mineral blocks, boosting India s mining potential. Government on Wednesday asserted it has "enough" support for passage of the GST bill in the Monsoon session of Parliament that will commence from July 18 till August 12. The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to stay the order of the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) that directed a group of state electricity distribution companies to pay around Rs 1,5 crore to Reliance Power's Sasan Power Ltd (SPL).
