A few words of introduction Common issues in GACship can be categorized as follows: Login related Related to IE and pop-up blocker settings Operational Common issues Read further for more information:- 1. Login Related Following are the common issues related to login: 1. Forgot the password: Contact your Hub Operator 2. Invalid User name or Password error: Check the spelling. Check Caps Lock key. User name & password are case sensitive. Contact your Hub Operator. 3. No Jobs assigned for your Company, Cannot Login error: You can login only if you have active Jobs assigned to your Company. Contact the Operator. 4. User Name and/or password expired error: Contact the Operator. 5. New User account: Contact the Hub Operator 2. IE and pop-up blocker settings Custom setting the IE would eliminate various issues. Refer to the list below: IE General Settings 1 Click Tools menu and then click Internet Options. The Internet Options window will open: Common issues in GACship 2 Page 1 of 5

2 2 Click the Settings button. Settings dialog will open: 3 Choose the option Every Visit to the page under Check for newer versions of stored pages. 4 Press OK. This will check for newer version of the pages you visit. IE Security Settings 1 Click Security Tab from the Internet Options window. Common issues in GACship 2 Page 2 of 5

3 2 Click the Security Tab. 3 Click the Custom Level button in the Security Level for this zone pane. The Security Settings window will open: 4 Select Medium from the Drop down List next to Reset To field, under Reset Custom Settings pane. 5 Click Reset button, and Yes in subsequent Warning message. 6 Press OK. This will close the Security Settings window. 7 Click the Advanced Tab: Common issues in GACship 2 Page 3 of 5

4 8 Select the Disable Script Debugging check box and then click Apply. 9 Unselect the Display a notification about every script error check box (if selected) and then click Apply. 10 Press OK. This will close the Internet Options window. Note: DO NOT make any changes from Internet Options window, other than those mentioned above. A faulty setting can stop your application running properly Pop-up Blocker Settings If you are using Pop-up blocker software, adjust the settings so that it allows pop-ups for gacship 2 web site. 3. Operational If you are a Non-Network Agent, your Hub Operator should authorize your access to GACship. You can login only if you have active Jobs assigned to your Company. Contact HO for Job number or GACship Team with Job number, if any. Common issues in GACship 2 Page 4 of 5

5 4. Common Issues 1. GACship is very slow, takes long time for all processes: Press function key F5 to refresh the browser, a quick fix for most of the performance issues. The communication between the GACship servers and your PC will be reset, when you do this. If this does not work, you may delete the temporary Internet files and cookies. For this, a. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. b. Double-click Internet Options. This will open Internet Properties dialog. c. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Settings button. d. Click View Files button. e. Press CTRL + A to select all files. f. Press DEL or click the Delete option at top of the window. g. Click Yes button on the dialog box that appears. h. After all files are gone, close the window. i. Click OK two times and close Control Panel. You may contact GACship team, if the issue persists. 2. Cannot edit PDA/SOF/FDA: Note the below points regarding PDA/FDA edit: a. To exclusively work with the Job, you should lock the Job. Click to lock and to unlock. b. PA cannot edit/delete services created by users of other Company c. SOF can be created only after updating ATA Actual time of arrival (Vessel) and FDA after ATD Actual time of departure. d. PDA cannot be edited after Fund Request. e. You cannot add services to PDA after FDA Fund Request matches found in Job Search: Check if Job number is entered correctly.
