2 Dr.Maddison obtained his Ph.D. from the European University Institute in Florence. He obtained his bachelors in economics from Kingston University (London) and his masters from the London School of Economics where he graduated with distinction. Before coming to RGU Dr.Maddison was a lecturer at the University of Abertay-Dundee where he was module tutor for the MBA program. Pipeline diplomacy, Dutch Disease, Resource Curse and Voracity effects. Emerging Markets, Energy Demand and Climate Change. The role of National Oil Companies versus International Oil Companies and future supply. The Political Economy of: Climate Change, OPEC, and Energy Subsidies. Differential rents in oil and gas markets. Oil and Gas market structures and differential oil and gas market dynamics. Peak Oil and Commodity Super-Cycle? 3 Abhishek holds an MBA from Aberdeen University and has completed his PhD in His research is focused on environmental aspects of energy sector, and the development and management of industrial symbiosis networks, as well as more broadly in the integration of energy, environmental and resource efficiency perspective into the core strategies of businesses for the sustainable future of industry. Abhi has a good record of publishing and has been a chair for five conference tracks since Abhi has contributed to the delivery of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Aberdeen Business School during the past 8 years, as well as providing consultancy services to public and private sector bodies. Dr. Abhishek Agarwal, Senior Lecturer in the Aberdeen Business School, Department of Management. Module Tutor: Energy Policy and the Environment; Energy Project (double module) Abhi holds various professional qualifications, including being a certified Auditor for Environmental and Quality Management Systems. Abhi coordinates various modules, including Strategic Analysis for the Energy Sector, Renewable Energy Management and the Energy Project, all contributing to MSc. Energy Management Programme.

4 Research Interests and Key Roles His teaching and research interests cover theoretical and business aspects of the relationship between public policy and sustainable development, with particular reference to energy and the environment. Since 2005 his research has primarily focused on international wind power deployment and industrial ecology. 5 Following twenty years in manufacturing and consultancy in the UK and overseas, I entered the academic world at RGU in Since then I have been lecturing primarily in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Purchasing and Logistics. I spent several years as Programme Leader for the MSc Quality Management, the MSc Operations and Services Management and the MSc Purchasing and Supply Chain Management courses (during which time we achieved full accreditation from CIPS). Bryan McNay Lecturer, Department of Management, Aberdeen Business School Module Tutor: Strategic Operations Management, Oil and Gas My principal responsibilities are now as Programme Manager for the Executive Part-time MBA / MBA Oil and Gas Management and our growing portfolio of corporate MBA courses. I am currently engaged in Doctoral studies (DBA) with a particular interest in the operational/supply chain decommissioning issues facing the UK offshore oil and gas sector. Away from ABS, my main interests are my family, struggling to learn how to play the guitar, playing golf and following the fall and rise (and fall?) of Irish Rugby.

6 I joined RGU as a lecturer for BSM2519 in September Before that I worked for 30 years for Shell and before that I worked for a turnkey contractor, a heat exchanger manufacturer, a gas supplier s economics section, a University computing lab, ICI and before that my memory fails! I have a degree and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and am a Fellow of I.Chem E. I feel privileged that during my time with Shell I was able to have a very diverse and rewarding career. I started as a process engineer looking after the process engineering issues for several of Shell s offshore platforms but was able to rise to a variety of project roles (at one point I had over 100 design personnel working for me) and engineering management positions. Latterly, I moved into business development which enabled me to learn a whole new set of techniques, such as Lean and 6Sigma, and streamlined several of Shell s own and contractors work processes. Colin Bell Job Title/Position Senior Lecturer, Department of Management, Aberdeen Business School Module Tutor: Oil and Gas Management Working in academia is quite different from industry both could learn quite a bit from each other! I have personally learnt quite a bit from my new colleagues but I find the most interesting thing about my new life is the diverse contact with the students I meet. To meet fresh minds, ideas and outlooks is yet another privilege. Outside of work I live in the country and my personal interests are, in no particular order, DIY (essential with a 120 year old house), gardening, photography, the Arts, reading, fly fishing and preserving a work-life balance with my wife

7 David Gibbons-Wood (MA Hons) is the Director of the Centre for International Labour Market Studies, at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. An economist by training, David's expertise focuses on labour market issues and workforce development, both in private and public sector and across numerous industry sectors. He has managed numerous labour market intelligence projects on behalf of The Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, DTI, The European Social Fund and various skills agencies. David has published over 50 reports on regional, national and cross-national labour market analysis. David is a member of the IMaGeS Research Institute. David is the Group lead for Entrepreneurship and Economics. 8 Mohammed is a Civil Engineer graduating with a First Class honours in (1987), he has an MSc in Structural Engineering (1992), and a PhD in Whole Life Management of Physical Assets. Mohammed worked as a Project Manager, Senior Engineer and Director for an international Engineering Consulting firm. He has been working at RGU since 2000 as a Research Fellow managing significant research projects, and as a Lecturer leading several project management, asset management and oil and gas management modules and writing and delivering several courses for several corporate clients including PDVSA, Sonatrach, Petro China, ASCO, among others. Dr Mohammed Kishk, BSc(Hons) MSc PhD MICE MIAM Senior Lecturer, Course Leader, MSc Commercial Practice for the Energy Sectors. Mohammed has published more than 70 academic and professional papers in the areas of whole-life costing, asset management, risk management, project management and structural analysis. Mohammed is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Asset Management.

9 Dr Labaran Lawal is a Lecturer in Oil and Gas Financial Operations in the Department of Management at Aberdeen Business School. Research Interests: Accounting for upstream oil and gas activities; Accounting for the regulation of public utilities; Regulatory governance; and Governance and accountability issues relating to oil and gas, and energy sectors. Dr Lawal also supervises doctoral research. Research Funding: 2012: 18,000 NERC Development of regulatory accounting framework for the Nigerian electricity sector.
