5 Our Leadership Team KETIL BEEN has more than nineteen (19) years of international management and consulting experience. Ketil focuses on enterprise-wide system implementations, organizational change management, process optimization and project management within the energy industry. Prior to forming Boxley Group, Ketil served as Managing Director and Regional Manager for Frontline in Europe. Ketil holds a B.Eng. (Hon) in Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, an MBA from Manchester Business School, accreditation as Siv Ing. (Charted Engineer, Norway), and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is fluent in English, Norwegian and Portuguese. PETER DE JONG has more than eighteen (18) years of experience specializing in energy-based operational excellence, project management, organizational development, and Lean Sigma projects. He has led many high-performing teams, including a variety of upstream and downstream performance improvement implementation teams for major energy companies and their contractors. Peter has a B.Eng. From The Hague University, post-graduate degrees in Commercial Engineering and Business Process Re-Engineering, and an MBA from Kingston University. He is fluent in Dutch, English and German, and is a PMP and Lean Six Sigma Certified. BRIAN O CONNOR has more than twenty (20) years of international management and consulting experience. Brian focuses on enterprise-wide system implementations, organizational change management, process optimization and project management within the energy industry with experience in Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Supply and Trading, and Environmental Management. In addition, Brian has a deep background in the telecommunications and international defense and space industries. He has experience in mergers & acquisitions and has managed acquisition execution/integration in the US, India, Israel and the UK. Brian holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. Brian also has served as a corporate representative to the President s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and as a Combat Fighter Mission Commander. JAY SCHIERLOH has more than twenty eight years (28) of diverse professional experience in management consulting and in the energy, technology and life science industries. Jay is focused on delivering client value in enterprise wide business transformation efforts, organization change management and operational excellence in the energy and life science industries. Prior to joining Boxley Group, Jay held leadership roles in both finance and program management with Baker Hughes and Introgen Therapeutics. Jay holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and is a CPA. KATHERINE WARREN has more than eighteen (18) years of experience helping companies evaluate and execute strategic growth (including mergers & acquisitions), identify operating efficiencies, design and conduct program leadership, and align communication with business strategies. She has focused on bringing complex projects to completion and addressing difficult change at companies. Prior to joining Boxley Group she spent 10 years with Deloitte Consulting. She has an MBA from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a B.A. from the College of William & Mary and is a certified PMP. MIKE WHITTAKER has more than nineteen (19) years of energy consulting experience. His areas of expertise include Upstream (E&P, land, operations, accounting, and marketing), Midstream (gathering, processing and transportation), Downstream, and Power. Prior to forming Boxley Group, Mike was a senior manager with Accenture s Global Energy and Trading & Risk practices, and senior manager with Sungard Energy Systems. Mike holds a B.S. in Geology with a minor in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas and an Executive MBA from Harvard. RICHARD YARP has more than thirty three (33) years of oil industry experience spanning Downstream, Upstream, and Midstream operations. Richard specializes in strategy, planning and & performance management having held leadership roles in these areas at Chevron and Texaco. He brings deep expertise in team facilitation, long and short range planning, performance management, balanced scorecards, and operational analysis. Richard holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
