4 PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION Partnership registration consists of two parts. Firstly, you will need to create an RHN login and access the Customer Portal (access.redhat.com), secondly, you will then use RHN login to create access to Partner Center (partner.redhat.com). In the Customer Portal we store your subscriptions including NFR (not for resale partner subscriptions) and also software, which you can download later. The Partner Center is a portal, created exclusively for our partners only, where you can access training, logos, documents, request support, NFR and much more. In order to Start Partnership Registration navigate your browser to partner.redhat.com and follow instructions given in this guide. PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 4

6 Click JOIN THE PROGRAM PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 6

7 It is necessary that you create CORPORATE login Fields with asterisk are mandatory. Specify the Login that you would like to use. Ideally, this should be the same as your address. PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 7

8 Fill out all necessary fields. Once done click Save&Continue PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 8

9 Make sure you get familiar with our Terms and Conditions. Then check the box that you accept it and click Continue PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 9

10 In the last field you should choose Apply for a new Partner Center Account. IMPORTANT! Here you have multiple options and it is really important you choose the right one, otherwise your application might be rejected and you will have to start from the begining. Once all done click Save&Continue Option Join an existing Partner Center Account is used only in cases when there is an existing account and you want to join it, but this method is not recommended, as you won t be able to use NFR. In order to join account, please refer to the guide How to Add New Users. Explanation of the partner types Solution Provider classic reseller ISV if you have your own product that you develop yourself, then you are ISV Corporate Reseller this partnership is available by invitation only Training You are a training partner System Integrator (Global) You are global huge company with lots of offices across the globe OEM You are a hardware partner PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 10

12 Terms and Conditions again? Yes! Previously you have accepted T&C for Customer Portal, just like all our customers, while these Т&C are for your partnership. Please get familiar with it. Once done, mark it as Accepted and click Save&Continue PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 12

14 Make sure you understand these questions! Do they act in any government position? - means if your company, in any way is a part of a government i.e. has a government official as an officer, director or substantial shareholder, political party, belongs to public sector or ministry. If not sure, please contact Once you have completed click Save&Continue PARTNERSHIP REGISTRATION 14

17 You have COMPLETED your application. Now you need to verify your address. Check your inbox and you will find the following Dear Red Hat User, This is sent to validate the address that you have provided for your Red Hat login. Your Red Hat login, in combination with an active Red Hat subscription, provides you with access to systems management capabilities through Red Hat Network. To ensure the security of the account information associated with your Red Hat login, please take a moment to click through the link below and verify that we have the correct address. If you do not confirm your address, your Red Hat login will eventually be disabled. To confirm your address, please visit the following URL: Thank you for using Red Hat. Account Information: Your login: login.login Your address: @address.com Give us 48 hours to review and approve your application. Once it s approved you will receive notification. Please refer to requalification guide. Approve Users approve anyone who is trying to join your account Administer Users create access to partner center for your colleagues. Please refer to Add New User guide Partner User Invitations N/A Register a Deal register a deal if you are entitled for Deal Registration Program (Advanced and Premier) View Subscriptions (NFR) view your NFR requests. 19 To edit details of your account just click on your company name. It will take you to the same page as a link on the left My Company Profile ACCOUNTS TAB 19

20 Click EDIT and it will let you change most of the info on your account. NOTE: some fields, i.e. billing address can be edited only by Partner Team. So if there is something you need to change but find you are unable, please contact Partner team () or alternatively go to Cases Tab and open a case and we will take care of it. ACCOUNTS TAB 20

21 Here you can see all your contacts from your company. You can also add new contacts clicking New Contact NOTE: Creating a contact doesn t create access to partner center. To grant access to partner center you need to create user. Please refer to Add New User guide. CONTACTS TAB 21

22 Fill out the necessary fields. The ones with a red stripe are compulsory. Once you are done click Save or if you are going to add more contacts then click Save&New CONTACTS TAB 22

23 Contents tab storage of many useful documents for you to help. Here you can also find the pricelist and the partner logo. In order to look for i.e. pricelist type in search bar pricelist and hit GO! In case the number of results is too high you can narrow this down by using the filters on the left. CONTENT TAB 23

24 Here is the pricelist. All documents in the Partner center are monitored and updated regularly. In order to see more details on particular document or if you want to download it just click on it. CONTENT TAB 24

27 Cases are an alternative to sending an . Your case will go to the EMEA Partner Team. In the EMEA Partner Team we support the following languages: English German French Spanish Italian Polish Russian Lithuanian So if any of these above is your native language, please feel free to us using it. CASES TAB 27

28 The Interface of submitting a case is the same as writing an . Make sure you provide enough details for us in order to speed up our responses. For example if you get an error make sure you attach a screenshot. If you need an NFR, please make sure you specify your RHN login that you will use for the NFR. CASES TAB 28

You have probably noticed, that if you click on My Company Profile it takes you to the same page as if you have clicked Accounts Tab This time we will show you more details on what you can do here. First you can add New Contact which is same, as if you go to Contacts Tab MY COMPANY PROFILE 31

32 It is a good practice to keep your account updated with the latest data. NOTE: Some details you will not be able to change, for example your billing address. For that you need to get in touch with EMEA Partner Team MY COMPANY PROFILE 32

33 Few other important things you can do here. Manage accreditations: As an example, your company has an RHCE certified engineer. Click Manage Accreditations to add his certification. New Customer Reference: here you can add your success story - deal where you have successfully sold and implemented our Software. New Partner Location: here you can specify your address and it will add Google Map in partner locator. Can t find your company in partner locator? Click here. MY COMPANY PROFILE 33

34 Adding your RHCE certificates or any other certificates you may have. To see this page I assume you have clicked on My Company Profile and then Manage Accreditations. Now click on Add New Accreditation. Note: sales accreditations will be added automatically once you successfully complete the training in OPEN. How to enroll for the course in OPEN referer to the guide ENABLEMENT (Training). MY COMPANY PROFILE > ACCREDITATIONS 34

35 Here you will need to specify the certifying entity and what type of certificate it is. If it s RHCE or RHCSA or any other Red Hat technical certificate, you will need to specify the serial number and the date it was achieved. Finally, please choose the person that the certificate belongs to. The person has to be at least in your contact list. Please refer to "How to add contacts" earlier in the guide, if you are unsure how to do this. Click Save once you are done. MY COMPANY PROFILE > ACCREDITATIONS 35

36 Here you can add a New Customer Reference. To see this page I assume you have clicked on My Company Profile and Add New Customer Reference. What is a customer reference? It is a success story, where you were able to identify customers pain or challenge, offered and implemented our products or solutions and eliminated a challenge. Please fill out appropriate fields. The ones with the red stripe are mandatory. MY COMPANY PROFILE > CUSTOMER REFERENCES 36

37 These last 4 fields are the most important part of customer reference. Depending on how much information you provide here, your customer reference will be either approved or rejected. It s important to know, that these customer references are for Red Hat internal use only. We are not going to publish it anywhere so you don t have to ask your customer for permission to share it with us. Please describe the solution need here you need to specify, what was the need that your customer had. What wasn t working for them? What was their pain? Please describe the implementation what were your activities to help customer to evaluate and understand current situation? What have you offered for your customer? Please describe the solution benefit here you need to specify how did customer win by using our products? What exactly made customer happy? Quote from the customer here you need to share a feedback from your customer. MY COMPANY PROFILE > CUSTOMER REFERENCES 37

38 Here you can specify your address and it will show up on google maps. Make sure you specify correctly all your addresses: billing, shipping in My Company Profile and also this one to reflect your company properly in partner locator. MY COMPANY PROFILE > LOCATION 38

39 Requalification process it s an opportunity to update your company details, to review who has access to partner center and check if all necessary accreditations are in place. This has to be done every year to renew your partnership with us. If you miss a date to renew your partnership, you will loose your status. As you can see there are multiple modules that you need to review. Click Review and Confirm to start requalification process. RE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS 39

40 Let s complete a few modules as an example. The first module is Profile Information. Check if all data is correct. If there is anything you need to change click edit content. If all looks good then click Confirm. To go to the next module click Next. RE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS 40

41 Ignore the points, this doesn t apply for EMEA. Just confirm and move to next module. RE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS 41

42 Every year you need to accept the partnership agreement. Please choose the appropriate option and move to the next module. RE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS 42

43 Once you have confirmed all modules. Advanced and Premier partners also need to check if they have all necessary requirements in place for their status, like customer references, accreditations etc.. then as a final step click SUBMIT RE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST RE-QUALIFICATION PROCESS 43

45 To create new partner center user click NEW In order to see this page click on Administer Users. You can see here if this user has admin rights You can see here if the existing user is enabled Here you can create new partner center users. ADMINISTER USERS 45 Don t ever use this unless you want to mess up the access for that user :D please reset password via access.redhat.com

46 It s very easy to grant access to partner center for your colleagues. Just fill out the fields and click CREATE. It will also create RHN login to access.redhat.com under the same account as yours! So if you have NFR subscriptions your colleague will be able to access it as well. ADMINISTER USERS 46

47 In order to access your training you have to: 1. access your partner center partner.redhat.com 2. once you are in click on ENABLEMENT it will take you to our new training/enablement portal that we call OPEN ENABLEMENT (TRAINING) 47

48 All our training now is under ENABLEMENT Tab. If you click on it for the first time you will have to choose your track. Select the one you are going to follow and click ADD TRACK. Once you choose your tracks whenever you will click on ENABLEMENT it will be taking you to OPEN Portal (training portal). To add more tracks later click Add More Tracks ENABLEMENT (TRAINING) 48

49 Once you are inside OPEN, click on MY TRAINING ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 49

50 Then choose the training according to the specialization of your company and your role. For example if your company specializes in platform or virtualization and you are a sales person then choose I. Datacenter Infrastructure Sales NOTE: Most of the technical courses are available for Advanced and Premier partners ONLY. ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 50

51 Once you have selected your role then click Register ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 51

52 Here you can choose the courses. You can expand it into a tree. ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 52

53 Here you can see that some of the courses are available for registration and some are not. Once you will finish the ones in green then the ones in red will become available as well. Click Submit once you have selected your courses. ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 53

54 Once you have Submitted the registration you will be able to see the summary and status. Click Done to continue. ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 54

55 Here you will be able to Start the course. If you have a pop-up blocker try to click Start holding Ctrl at the same time. ENABLEMENT (OPEN) 55
