6 Governance Roles Stewardship is the act of ensuring that appropriate data management policies and standards are developed and maintained on behalf of the Crown. Stewardship covers all aspects of managing spatial information. This includes data architecture, quality, metadata, pricing, licensing, access and dissemination, bearing in mind any statutory responsibilities and government data management policies. Custodianship of spatial information is the act of ensuring appropriate care in the collection, storage, maintenance and supply of the information.

They selected IQ Office to: Perform batch address cleansing to determine the right address and match the power meters they install to the contact details contained in the customer database; and Validate customer billing and property address details at point-of-entry; and Match customer address details at point-of-entry to their own customer utility address points, ICPs Use the parsing, standardisation, matching and geocoding capabilities of IQ Office to validate and enhance address data that is vital to EA s day-today operations.
24 The results Significantly reduced time and costs associated with incorrect data Significantly increased the speed and ability to match customer addresses to NMIs Reduced call centre costs because over 95% of addresses can be captured with as few as 8-12 keystrokes Reduced the time spent by service delivery personnel because they now go directly to the correct sites Increased overall effectiveness and efficiencies of customer service delivery.
