1 PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SUMMER 2007 Oxford Study Courses 2007 IB Preparation, Revision and Review Oxford Study Courses offer programs to students at all stages of the IB program, whether they are going into the program, or are mid-way through. Students can choose to take courses in the UK or the USA. The mid-ib program offers optional advising on Extended Essay as well as careers and college selection. 2 Junior Statesmen Summer School This program, held on the campuses of Princeton, Georgetown, Yale and Stanford Universities, is designed for high school students who have a strong interest in politics and government. This course is a week long and includes a field trip, learning Microsoft Project and Auto Cad software used in construction, laboratory exercises and fun design build projects. The New York program allows students to take courses in science, law, business, engineering, politics, liberal arts, and college-prep. The Barcelona program offers students the possibility to take courses in history, language and culture. There are two programs one for ages 10 to 13, and another for ages 14 to 18. They do live broadcasts on Wartburg radio 89.1 KWAR-FM and Wartburg Television/WTV8 and use Wartburg's state-of-the-art digital equipment and facilities. The summer workshop also includes tours of professional radio and TV facilities, meetings with area media professionals, and activities to help students develop the skills needed to get ahead in this exciting profession.
