3 Access a map of the university by visiting the websites here: or The Posgrado building is located in the south of Ciudad Universitaria, near where the Av. Insurgentes meets Anillo Periférico. The hotels that we recommend are in Anillo Periférico Sur, about 5-15 minutes away by taxi. The Registration Desk for our conference is located at the entrance of the Posgrado building. You can pick up all the necessary information about the meeting there (if you have already paid the registration fees) or you can register for the meeting if you have yet to do so. Cab Services Do not hail taxi's on the street, at the airport, or elsewhere in the city. You should have the hotel get you a taxi. You can also get taxis at hotels even if you are not a guest. Also safe are taxi's at Sitio taxi stands, which are all over the city. At the Airport just after crossing the baggage claim area there are taxi offices where you can purchase a ticket to take a taxi. Buy tickets from official cab stands, either Sitio 300 or Yellow Cab 300, tell the person at one of these taxi offices precisely where you want to go and he or she will tell you the price of the service, after which you only have to give the ticket to the cab driver. When you get to the cab stand, somebody will take your bag and put it in a cab, this may seem abrupt, but it is normal. For your safety: Never take a taxi that is offered by unknown individuals. Taxi license plates begin with the letter A or B, drivers should have their driver s licenses posted on the window separating the front and back seats, and taxis should have a working taximeter. 4 Public Transport You can get to UNAM via subway at the Universidad stop or by bus at Metro bus Ciudad Universitaria (CU) stop. The university is very large, so we strongly suggest that you take a taxi and have these maps at hand. There are also internal bus services for transport within the University campus:
