Project Number of participants: 15 trainees + 2 accompanying teachers Project Duration: 160 hours (4 weeks) 16 Settembre 13 Ottobre Day 4, Wednesday FIRST WEEK Arrival at Malta International Airport at 23.20hrs. Transfers with assistance to designated hotel. Distribution in accommodation hrs to 12.00hrs Welcome meeting, short presentation(explanation and useful information for working method), territorial explanation 14.00hrs to 17.00hrs Start working on the project (preparation & formalization of the Hotel & Tourism Industry survey which the student will use during their visit to the different hotels) 09.00hrs Divided in 3 groups of 5pax the students will start the first part of their project: Hotel & Tourism Industry Survey. Students will be asked to visit a number of hotels 14.00hrs 17.00hrs Continuation of project 14.00hrs 18.00hrs Half day excursion to Mosta

3 SECOND WEEK 09.30hrs to 12.00hrs Meeting on the week s project about the History of the Maltese Islands hrs to 13.00hrs Packed Lunch 13.00hrs to 17.00hrs Half Day excursion to the St. John s Co- Cathedral to visit the museum and the prestigious Caravaggio painting hrs Students will visit the MHRA (Malta Hotels and Restaurant s Association) to gather more information about the hospitality and tourism industry hrs 17.00hrs Continuation of project 09.00hrs Continuation of project 14.00hrs 17.00hrs Each group will meet to discuss further the project hrs to 17.00hrs Full day excursion of the Maltese Islands.

4 THIRD WEEK 09.30hrs to 12.00hrs Meeting on the week s project about the places of interest around the Maltese Islands. A brief introduction about Mnajdra/ Hagar Qim Temples, the Limestone Heritage and Ggantija in Gozo will be given hrs to 16.00hrs Start working on project of the week hrs The students will be visiting the ITS (Institute of Tourism Studies) in St. Julians. This visit will enable the students to understand how this institute trains students to work in the tourism industry hrs 18.00hrs Full day Excursion to the Island of Gozo hrs 17.00hrs Each group will meet to discuss further the project.

5 FOURTH WEEK 09.30hrs to 12.00hrs Meeting about the project hrs to 16.00hrs Half Day excursion Harbour Cruise 09.00hrs to 17.00hrs Students will have time to continue their project. In the afternoon they will meet the tutor hrs to 17.00hrs Full day excursion to Marsaxlokk and Blue Grotto 09.00hrs to 17.00hrs Students will have time to continue their project.
