2 Definition of Broadband Definition o Since broadband technologies are always changing, the definition of broadband also continues to evolve...itu Standardization Sector defines broadband as a transmission capacity that is faster than primary rate ISDN at 1.5 or 2.0 Mbits. (ITU, 2003) o Internet access that is always on and faster than the traditional dial-up access. (US National Broadband Plan, 2009) o Internet connectivity which are capable of download speeds of at least 256 kbit/s. (OECD, 2010)
