Israel s Nuclear Arsenal: A Myth or Reality? By Matthias Chang 14 th February 2012, Future Fastforward I have always believed that Israel s nuclear might is a myth, but I could not identify the smoking gun that would substantiate my thesis. But, the recent report that Saudi Arabia Says Will Buy Nuclear Weapon if Iran Tests A-Bomb is the clincher and proves my case beyond all reasonable doubts. The Times, UK reported that Saudi Arabia would seek to buy nuclear weapons if Iran were to test an a-bomb, as "it would be completely unacceptable to have Iran with a nuclear capability and not the kingdom." Why would this statement corroborate my thesis that Israel s nuclear arsenal is a myth and its nuclear ambiguity has been the most successful strategic propaganda ploy since the 1960s? As late as November 2011, Haaretz reported that, The world still believes that Israel has nuclear weapons, but Israel has never declared this and repeats the mantra formulated already in the early 1960s by then Deputy Defense Minister Shimon Peres: Israel will not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the region. Nor did Israel sign the Nuclear Non- Proliferation Treaty. From that day it has rejected any international pressure and the pressure has not been heavy to join the treaty and let IAEA inspectors check out the nuclear facility in Dimona and other facilities suspected of engaging in nuclear activity for military purposes. Israel has never claimed that there is no possibility it will change its nuclear policy one day. But for Israel that's a vision for the distant future. First, as Danieli said during the discussion, there are several conditions: Every country in the region must recognise Israel, sign peace agreements and make security arrangements with it; only then will it be possible to discuss regional nuclear disarmament. Israel believes that there should also be a simultanenous discussion on eliminating all weapons of mass destruction: biological and chemical weapons and the missiles that launch them. But, we are told that Israel has two hundred nuclear bombs. This has been the consistent propaganda by the Zionist controlled international mass media, whenever any country in the Middle East reacts to the rabid threats of Israel especially in the recent hysteria against Iran.

Saudi Arabia being a Muslim country and the custodian of Islam s holy sites did not deem it fit to declare that it would acquire nuclear weapons when the Zionist controlled international mass media, US Presidents (past and present), members of Congress and other world leaders have acknowledged that Israel has 200 nuclear weapons. But, as reported by the Times, UK, Saudi Arabia would acquire nuclear weapons the moment Iran tests a nuclear bomb. We need to ask the trillion dollar question, Why Saudi Arabia and the GCC countries have no fear of Israel s nuclear weapons (if what has been reported is true) for the last forty years, but would tremble at the mere thought that Iran may acquire nuclear-weapons capability, notwithstanding Iran s repeated declarations that she would not pursue nuclear weapons and the fact that the IAEA have till today not produced any evidence that Iran is embarking on a nuclear-weapons program? This is the double-dealing and dubious nature of the Sunni extremist absolute monarchist regimes of the GCC countries, whose existence is literally guaranteed by the Zionist Anglo-American Empire on condition that they continue to trade oil in US dollars and prop up the Petro-Dollar System, the lynchpin of the global US dollar reserve currency. They are the Islamic geopolitical prostitutes! It has also been agreed by these geopolitical prostitutes that they would never attack or undermine the security of Israel. But, to hoodwink the Arabs and the Muslims, they fund the Palestinian struggle just enough to maintain the charade that they support the Palestinians struggle for freedom and nationhood, but never enough to pose an existential threat to Israel. Hence, the rabid hatred for Iran and those resistance movements calling for the complete and total defeat of Zionist Israel! And, as long as they continue with this charade, and by their generous funding of the various moderate Palestinian Movements so as to control their agendas, their fragile existence would be secured! Given this security matrix, is it any wonder that Israel is so confident and secure that the Arabs would not be able to mount any meaningful threat to her existence? This brings me to the question of the Yom Kippur War of Historians/ researchers have stated and I quote: During the night of 8-9 October, an alarmed Dayan told Meir that this is the end of the third temple. He was warning of Israel's impending total defeat, but Temple was also the code word for nuclear weapons. Dayan again raised the nuclear topic in a cabinet meeting, warning that the country was approaching a

point of last resort. That night Meir authorised the assembly of thirteen 20- kiloton-of-tnt (84 TJ) tactical atomic weapons for Jericho missiles at Hirbat Zachariah, and F-4 aircraft at Tel Nof, for use against Syrian and Egyptian targets. They would be used if absolutely necessary to prevent total defeat, but the preparation was done in an easily detectable way, likely as a signal to the United States. Kissinger learned of the nuclear alert on the morning of October 9. That day, President Nixon ordered the commencement of Operation Nickel Grass, an American airlift to replace all of Israel's material losses. Anecdotal evidence suggests that Kissinger told Sadat that the reason for the U.S. airlift was that the Israelis were close to going nuclear. Before commenting on the above passage, I would like to mention another myth, i.e. Israel s Samson Option, a term used to describe Israel s alleged deterrence strategy of massive retaliation with nuclear weapons as a last resort against nations whose military attacks threaten its existence, and possibly against other targets as well. Israel refuses to admit it has nuclear weapons or to describe how it would use them, an official policy of nuclear ambiguity, also known as nuclear opacity. This has made it difficult for anyone outside the Israeli government to definitively describe its true nuclear policy, while still allowing Israel to influence the perceptions, strategies and actions of other governments. But, Shimon Peres has declared that Israel would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the region. So, there is a clear contradiction! So how should we construe what the historians have wrote about the Yom Kippur War of 1973 as described in the above first quotation in regard to Israel s preparation to launch nuclear weapons against Egypt and Syria? As far as I am concerned, it is pure fiction, a fairy tale which is part of the strategic propaganda to intimidate the entire Arab region! Let s examine the first sentence, During the night of 8-9 October, an alarmed Dayan told Meir that this is the end of the third temple. If indeed, it was the end of Israel, the end of the third temple, why did Israel not exercise the Samson Option? But instead, it was asserted that Golda Meir gave instructions to deploy nuclear weapons in such a way as to hint to Kissinger that US should come to the aid of Israel Israel would deploy nuclear weapons. In the result, it was alleged that Kissinger advised President Nixon accordingly and Nixon thereafter launched Operation Nickel Grass.

Operation Nickel Grass was an overt strategic airlift operation conducted by the United States to deliver weapons and supplies to Israel during the Yom Kippur War. The Military Airlift Command of the U.S. Air Force shipped 22,325 tons of tanks, artillery, ammunition, and supplies in C-141 Starlifter and C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft between October 14 and November 14, A novice in military affairs would observe that it took a month, from October 14 to November 14, 1973 to re-supply Israel which had suffered heavy losses in military equipment and soldiers killed. If Israel was indeed on the verge of defeat, would it wait patiently for the airlift to turn the tide of war or would it exercise the Samson Option (if it had nuclear weapons)? If USA can get away with the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Israel would have a cake walk for vaporising Egypt and Syria as the Zionist Anglo-American international mass media would have spun 24/7 the justification for such an action to prevent another holocaust. In fact, I would assert that Israel had no need for any nuclear weapons (although they have the capability and the means to do acquire the same) because President Truman and every subsequent President have guaranteed the security of Israel in exchange for Zionist support and finance for their candidacy. Of course each and every candidate would prostrate before the Zionist lobby, but the discretion remains with the lobby to determine who is the most subservient and slavish to Zionist interests. This is the sordid story of all US presidential elections since World War I. And this is the only reason why any American aspiring to be the President of the United States must renew this guarantee and if upon election were to betray and or attempt to abrogate this guarantee, he would suffer the ultimate penalty being assassinated by an assassin s bullet as was the case of President Kennedy! But for the Yom Kippur War of 1973, there would have been an Arab Spring in 1973 or 1974, as the Arabs were seething with anger by the humiliation of the 1967 defeat by Israel and the inaction by the Arab Sunni regimes to redeem themselves. The Palestinians in 1968 have taken to armed struggle and the turning point was the Battle of Karameh, whereby Fatah was able to resist the overwhelming might of the Israeli army. It inspired and gave hope to the Arabs in the entire region. The Arab frontline states had no choice but to prepare for another war, but it was to be a limited war. The hidden hands behind the curtain had a greater agenda in the overall scheme of things.

There had to be a war or the Zionist Anglo-American financial empire would disintegrate within five years and at the most a decade, following the bankruptcy of the United States in The Vietnam War had bankrupted America and Nixon had no choice but to abrogate the Gold Standard whereby the US dollar was redeemable in gold - US$35 per oz of gold. The US dollar overnight became toilet US dollar paper. But, historians spun the following propaganda yarn, The 1973 oil crisis started in October 1973, when the members of Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries or the OPEC (consisting of the Arab members of OPEC, plus Egypt, Syria and Tunisia) proclaimed an oil embargo. This was in response to the U.S. decision to re-supply the Israeli military during the Yom Kippur war. This story is pure pantomime. I have frequently stated that the price of oil was spiked to create a massive demand for US dollar as it was agreed between OPEC and Kissinger that following the so-called embargo, all future trade in oil would be denominated in US dollars. This ensured that the value of the dollar would remain as before as countries buying oil would have to accumulate US dollars to purchase oil. For agreeing to this dastardly act, Kissinger guaranteed the security and the fragile existence of the Sunni extremist absolute monarchist regimes. The Arabs anger was diffused and they were led to believe that they had secured a victory against Zionist Israel. Additionally, the Arabs were told that they now were in possession of a weapon as powerful as the nuclear weapon the oil weapon! How naïve and trusting! But little did the Arab Street realise that they have been betrayed by the Sunni extremist regimes led by Saudi Arabia, the ultimate geopolitical prostitute! Conclusion Israel has no nuclear weapons and has no need for one. It would be better to have the guarantee of the United States of America secured from all her Presidents, past, present and future that the young men and women of America would be offered as cannon-fodder at the behest of Israel, than being on her own to fight the wars against her hostile Arab neighbours. The US, UK and NATO have all agreed to be the hired guns of Israel. And they have been doing the dirty work ever since. Had Israel opted to have nuclear weapons and stride the world s stage on her own, any indiscriminate use of the nuclear weapons would invite the inevitable isolation and ultimate annihilation. With the present status quo, Israel need only

make a phone call to the hotline of the White House and her supremacy would not be challenged by the stupid Arabs. Saudi Arabia has spent a fortune in the hundreds of US billions buying sophisticated weapons, airplanes etc. from the US. If Israel is the real enemy and has nuclear weapons, what good would these sophisticated weapons systems do in the face of such overwhelming force? In the circumstances, Saudi Arabia s sophisticated weapons are not directed at Israel but her Muslim enemies. Thus, Israel and Saudi Arabia are the Siamese Twins in the service of the Zionist Anglo-American Empire s agenda in the Middle East and beyond. Fast forward to the present time another pantomime is being played out, but this time, the actors have changed somewhat, but the storyline remains the same: Israel screaming that her security is being threatened another holocaust is about to happen, the US comes charging to the rescue with guns blazing, the GCC Sunni Arab regimes, as supporting actors play their part, Al-Jazeera brainwashes the Arab Street in place of CNN and Fox News, proxy wars are launched, Arab / Muslim mercenaries and terrorists recruited and trained by CIA, MI6 and the Mossad are financed and armed to subvert the targeted countries, oil price spikes and the wishful thinking is that the dollar would continue to be the global reserve currency. A few countries are bombed to smithereens, acceptable collateral damage for the good of the Zionist Anglo-American Empire. But this time, the ending may not be the one scripted by the War Party s playwrights!
