2 Overview The Music is Medicine concert series is a series of shows to be performed at three major children s hospitals around New York City, showcasing pop music. This will take place in September, which is National Children s Cancer Awareness Month. These intimate shows will have 300 available tickets per show in addition to all juvenile patients and their families to enjoy for free. Although this aims to be a nationally recognized event, the large-scale attention is meant to raise money through fundraiser bracelets. The following market plan details the distribution, retail, promotions, Internet marketing, electronic media, and consumer promotions necessary to reach our goal of raising at least $40,000 to donate to cancer research. PHASE I (February 10-May 31, 2016) Gain 1,000 followers on Twitter and Facebook by end of May Gain 5,000 likes on Facebook within first month of advertising Get the hashtag MusicIsMedicine trending by end of May Have 5,000 fundraiser bracelets manufactured and ready for distribution by end of April Record radio commercial to be given to local and neighboring radio stations radio stations Feb 10 th Have all physical advertisements fully prepared for release March 17 th Finalze lineup and all contracts March 30 th Secure sponsorships from St. Judes Hospital and Coca Cola May 1 st Announce concert series and begin social media campaigns May 3 rd Interview at Z100, ticket giveaway (2) May 18 th Interview at Hot 97, bracelet giveaway (2) February- All forms of advertisements prepared for release March - All contracts, sponsors, and lineup finalized (including ticket sales through Livenation) April - Have all fundraiser bracelets manufactured and prepared for distribution, Record radio commercial and prepare to distribute to local radio stations May-Launch aggressive Nation wide social media campaigns advertising the bracelets and spreading the hashtag

3 MusicIsMedicine, including pages on Facebook and Twitter, invite people to like page and share, Launch radio promotions Bracelets designed by Alex & Ani will be sold at hospitals, schools, local businesses, and government buildings to raise money for St. Jude s cancer research center for $20 each Send physical advertisements to local music retailers and businesses Release Coke cans with advertisements for the events and bracelets on them Facebook and twitter pages created and shared as much as possible, beginning in May Paid advertisements on Social Networks and related websites Radio commercials to be distributed to Z100, HOT97, Q104.3, Lite FM 106.7, KTU 103.5, and Fresh FM Radio interviews and giveaways on Z100 and HOT97 Press & Publicity Send advertisements to The New York Times, The Village Voice, Collegiate publications (NYU, FIT, ect) Consumer Promotions Post physical advertisements in public spaces Ticket and Bracelet Giveaways during radio interviews PHASE II (June 1-September 4 th ) Increase presence in the media Sell out tickets within first month they go on sale Conduct a promotional event in Union Square in July Gain 5,000 followers on Facebook and Twitter By August Sell 3,000 bracelets nationwide by September June 1 st Tickets go on sale through Livenation.com June 15 th Second round of radio promotions begins July 15 th Interview and ticket giveaway (2) on Fresh FM July 20 th Interview and Bracelet giveaway (2) on Q104.3 July 25 th Secure license to host event in Union Square

4 August 1 st Interview on The Morningsway for sirius xm radio August 15 th Promotional Event in Union Square, sponsored by Coca Cola August 20 th Last chance ticket giveaway (2) on Z100 June- Tickets go on sale through Livenation, increased media presence through continued radio and physical advertisements July- Second round of radio giveaways, begin advertising promotional event in Union Square August- Coca Cola sponsored promotional event in Union Square, games and activities for a chance to win a meet & greet package and the fundraiser bracelets September- Make sure performance areas are set up in three hospitals in which shows are to take place Continued sale of bracelets Continued distribution of physical advertisements Continued sale of Coke cans Ticket sales through Livenation.com Promotion Coca Cola sponsored event in Union Square, including games and activities for passing pedestrians to participate in. The theme of these activities will be related to spreading awareness of children s cancer Continued social media campaigns (now including buzz about Union Square Event) Continued social media trends (continue to promote hashtag) Ticket sales through Livenation.com Continued commercials running on previously mentioned radio stations Interviews/giveaways on Fresh FM, Q104.3, and Z100 Press & Publicity Continuous advertising in previously mentioned local publications Union Square Event Consumer Promotions Continue advertising in public spaces Continued ticket and bracelet giveaways Meet & Greet prize from Union Square Event

5 PHASE III (September 5 th 20 th, 2016) Run the three shows successfully Raise $40,000 cumulatively to donate to Children s cancer research Sell off all remaining bracelets Successfully stream concerts online Sell recording of concert through itunes September 5 th - First concert at New York Presbyterian Hospital, first online streaming of concert September 7 th - Second Concert at Mount Sinai Children s Hospital, second online streaming of concert September 9 th - Third concert at St. Jude s Children s Research Hospital September 12 th - Live album goes on sale on itunes September 20 th - Present check to St. Jude s Children s Cancer Research Hospital Early September- concerts to be performed and streamed live through livestream.com Mid September- Live album to go on sale on itunes and final check to be presented to St. Jude s Remaining Coke cans being sold off Concerts to be streamed live through livestream.com Live album to be sold at itunes.com Promote live album through Facebook and Twitter pages Promote livestream.com videos through Facebook and Twitter
