Ths s normally used n combnaton wth ancllary servces such as colocaton, Internet access and fbre connectvty. DVB Data You need dedcated bandwdth channels for standards-based satellte Internet access. We provde a DVB data platform for ISPs and VSAT networks that ncludes Internet backbone connectvty, routng, modulaton/demodulaton, and uplnkng/downlnkng to a full or fractonal transponder aboard SES satelltes. Case Study Gogo Layng the groundwork to expand n-flght broadband servces Gogo s a leader n provdng broadband nternet servces to passengers on board commercal arlners. Gogo selected SES to provde both the satellte capacty and ground nfrastructure to enable the expanson of Gogo broadband servces over North Amerca, the North Atlantc Ocean and Europe. SES teleports n Woodbne, Maryland, Manassas, Vrgna, and Betzdorf, Luxembourg, support Gogo s two-way broadband traffc durng commercal flghts. The Gogo network s expandng wth SES to meet the growng demand for seamless nternet access among arlne passengers who want to stay connected and nformed durng domestc and nternatonal flghts, says Mchael Small, Gogo s Presdent and CEO. 9 Case study Vasat Securng the safest DTH servce possble Modern Tmes Group s (MTG) Vasat s the leadng DTH satellte pay-tv operator n Scandnava, the Baltc states and Ukrane, as well as operatng jont venture Raduga TV n Russa. Vasat broadcasts more than 200 hgh-qualty SD and HD TV channels and rado channels. It selected SES to provde both hgh power satellte capacty for transmsson to small DTH dshes, and to provde contrbuton, encodng, multplexng and uplnk servces from SES s teleports n Stockholm, Sweden, and Rga, Latva. In order to further secure the avalablty of premum content for Vasat s customers, SES has mplemented a redundancy servce, whereby the most mportant channels are contrbuted to the teleports n both Stockholm and Rga, and the techncal set-up of encodng, multplexng and uplnk servces are duplcated. Wth ths servce n place, the Rga teleport can be actvated to re-establsh the DTH servce for the premum content should there be a serous problem at the teleport n Stockholm that prevents the servce beng uplnked from there.
