1 Public FAQ Guide 01 Important Admin Note: I love providing free material to the public and adding value to the lives of others at no cost, but please keep in mind my highest priority is given to my students. My staff and I are 1,000% willing to answer every question we receive from people who are not a part of our training programs, but unfortunately we can't. We run a small intimate program and 90% of our technical support is devoted to students/clients of our training programs. So roughly once a month I update this FAQ guide to serve the needs of those who have chosen the route of "self-education". Also, let me pass along something I learned from my millionaire mentors. My mentors designed their programs so that I didn't need them, their expertise, or their many years of experience to succeed. They believed in putting the power in your hands and empowering you to succeed on your own. So I want to share the exact 3 step process I follow to get answers to my investment questions. These are steps my mentor taught to me and it's served me well over the years. I've been using this process for over 10+ years and I've never had to get to steps 3 or 4. Usually my questions are answered within the first 2 steps. Step 1: Theory questions: "If I buy a call option and the stock goes up $5, how much will I make?" The answer to a theory question doesn't put money in your pocket so don't waste your time asking them. The best way to handle theory questions is to get out there, paper trade, and discover the answer yourself. Step 2: Any other question you have, first thoroughly review all of your current training material to see if the question has already been answered or something similar to it. If not, do a thorough Google search to see if you can find your answer. Step 3: If your Google search does not turn up an answer then ask one of your trading mentors from a course you've previously enrolled in. Bonus Step 4: You can call OPTIONS ( ). This is the phone number of the Options Industry council (OIC), the educational arm of the US options exchanges and the Options clearing corporation (OCC). 3 Training Program Questions Question: Can you tell me more about the training programs you offer? The industry average for options education is between $5,000 - $9,000 and I am committed to keeping all of my programs well below that cost. The program I get the most questions about is the Option Profit Formula Success Academy. Option Profit Formula Success Academy This course, as well as any of my training, caters to "beginners" and "those who have yet to be consistently profitable". It's a complete course and teaches you everything you need to learn about options trading basics and the strategies used to make profits. You will also learn how to create and manage wealth as well as how to have the mindset for success. The Option Profit Formula Success Academy is a virtual home study course and is the most advanced and comprehensive training program I have. 5 Question: I don't have enough money to invest in the course. Is there an installment plan? We never advise any of our students to stretch themselves financially as that is antiwealth building and we teach wealth building concepts. Another thing to keep in mind is you would need at least $10,000 - $30,000 (preferred), and $5,000 at a bare minimum, to start trading with. We teach paper trading first, but once you invest real money that is the recommended starting amounts. But if the investment for the programs is still too high, then maybe you will enjoy the free weekly videos. You can check that out at this link: Question: I am completely new to options trading in general. Is this course right for me? Yes, our course is tailored for the beginner. You are not expected to know anything about options or stocks. We will walk you through how to open a brokerage account, how to read stock charts, when to enter a trade, when to get out of a trade, how to pick stocks to invest in, how important are indicators such as EPS, P/E, etc., and what platforms work best, etc. Essentially, there won't be anything for you to figure out. We teach a simple and successful strategy that is comprehensible and easy to follow. Question: How long does it take to finish the course? The course is online and you proceed through it at your own pace. However, we HIGHLY encourage our students to go through the course at least 2-3x to integrate the concepts. On average, students can get through the entire course in about 8 weeks, however it takes roughly 1-3 years to become a good trader. Question: Can I call your company if I have questions? We run a small intimate program so all of our support is handled via , but students can jump on a live Q and A call with questions. If you're not a student and have thoroughly read the FAQs and haven't found your answer, feel free to us. Question: Is the members' area interactive with other members in the program, or is it just Q&A with Travis? Yes, the members' area is interactive with the other members. We do this so all the students can benefit from the answers to thoughtful questions. Question: Does your course encompass binary options as well as conventional options trading? 6 Question: What is the 50K Group? The Option Profit Formula The 50K Group is an invitation-only group of students that gets to "peek" over Travis shoulder while he's trading. However, this is not a trade alert service. Travis sends e- mails to this group when he's thinking about making a trade and also makes exclusive trade videos for this group. Question: I want to learn how to trade in the India market. Does your training apply to the India market? We, unfortunately, only teach our course based on the US markets. We honestly don't know how the trainings will apply to the Indian market but we have students from India who have joined and never complained that they couldn't apply what we teach. Unfortunately, Travis doesn't do one-on-one coaching anymore. But he does offer a complete home study course where he teaches everything you need to learn about options trading basics and the strategies that he uses to make profits. He also teaches how to create and manage wealth and mindsets. Question: Do you provide tax advice for options gains/losses treatment? Unfortunately, that is not part of our curriculum. Please do your due diligence and hire a tax advisor. Question: Are there any other program you recommend? Absolutely! I'm not attached to "who" you learn from, I just care that you learn this skill. 7 Trading Questions Question: My eyes and brain interpret the OPF techniques as "too risky" for me. Although you respect the rule of "2% loss" of your balance account, I could count more losses than wins. However, you seem to be on the right way because your profit is higher than the loss. Do you have any month-by-month, year-by-year "Statistical Summary" for the OPF? Information like Total # of Trades, Winning # of Trades, Average Winning (in US$), Average Losing, Profit Factor and Sharpe Ratio are really important to me and other statistical traders. I'm not a statistical trader so I can't really help you. I've found it's mostly a waste of time as the "theory" of trading and the "reality" of trading is two different things. And yes you are correct, most professional traders will tell you that losing ratios are normal. Heck, I've been losing on more trades for as long as I can remember yet it all averages out to a 30-50% "gain" each year. Compiling stats are pointless as you are not me and each trader trades differently, but I record my year end videos each year: in particular talks about the losing winning ratio you are referring to. It's a myth! If losing money and risk bothers you then I'd highly suggest you stick with mutual funds and the sorts as options won't be for you. I repeat, if you can't handle losing money from an emotional standpoint then forget about being a trader! Run that advice by other professional traders and see if they concur. Question: What's the recommended amount of capital to begin trading with? We ask our students to have at least $10,000 - $30,000 (preferred), and $5,000 at a bare minimum, in their trading accounts before starting with real money. But we highly urge them to begin their trading on paper and practice in a paper trading account first. Question: What are the criteria used to evaluate a stock? Travis uses the "Hot Stock Formula" to choose the "best" companies to trade. Unfortunately, this training is only available to students of the training program. 8 Question: Can I send you trades that are closed for you to review? We would love to review your trades but this service is only reserved for our students. If you are serious about learning options trading, we urge you to join one of our courses. Question: What kind of returns do you usually make each month utilizing credit spreads? Sorry, we don't have a cookie cutter answer for you. It really depends on the trades, the movements of the markets, etc. Sometimes you can make no money, have a loss, or make a tremendous gain. It varies month by month. Question: I understand that profitable results cannot be guaranteed but if it possible to generate an income of $10,000 per month trading stocks (not options*) using MarketClub's service? *I know next to nothing about options. I know it's extremely easy to see everything from a profit perspective and I wish there was a clear cut answer for you, but trading is a difficult skill to master. It takes time, patience, and dedication to trade and to develop your own trading style. A lot of our students see instant success with their first few trades, but then lose all the profit plus more because they were all too focused on the profit. I hope this puts things in perspective as it will take time to get up to the skill level to generate $10k/month consistently and conservatively but if you have a passion for trading, then this is a great way to get there. Question: Can you give advice on a trade I'm currently in? No, we cannot provide any advice on open trades as this will be against SEC regulations. Question: I only have 200 bucks and hoping to make more. I am really scared because I can't afford a mentor at this time and most of my knowledge is selfstudy please help. We extremely appreciate your trust and faith in our education. However, if you only have $200 to your name then trading is not for you! Any respectable mentor or coach will tell you that will need at least $10,000 - $30,000 to trade with and maybe $5,000 at a bare minimum. Anything less than that is pointless. Just because you can find options that don't cost much doesn't mean you should trade with only $200. I wish you well, but option's trading is not for you, at least not now. If you desire this program so strongly that you simply must have it, but you lack the funds, my best advice is to save up for it. Let ownership of this course become a fierce career goal for you. Remind yourself of this goal daily, keep working and saving toward it, and soon the course will be yours. We teach people to be in a good financial position before they start trading. *** Broker Questions Question: Which broker do you recommend and is it possible to begin with a demo account where option trading is concerned? The one that Travis uses for paper trading is called ThinkorSwim. It is part of TDAmeritrade. But the best thing to do is to do a bit of research on the internet. The decision to use any trading platform is a very personal one. You have to use one that meets your trading needs. It has to be one where: -the customer support is accessible, easy and willing to help either by phone or -You can practice paper trading -Has online education -Easy for you to understand We don't tell our students which one to pick because it's not our money that will be there. So you will have to find the one that works for you. Just remember you can always switch later if you don't like the broker. Question: I'd like to know how to keep cost per trade down, from $7.00 to near nothing... Regarding the cost per trade, are you referring to commissions? If so, we always recommend for our students to call their broker and negotiate better rates with them. Sometimes the broker gives in, sometimes not, but it never hurts to ask. Question: Which brokerage platforms offer paper trading? There are several broker platforms that allow you to paper trade. The one that Travis teaches off of is called ThinkorSwim from TDAmeritrade. Other popular options are OptionsHouse and TradeMONSTER. But please do your due diligence and research all available sources to determine which platform you are most comfortable with... as well as their fees & commissions structure for when you do start trading with real money. 10 Miscellaneous Questions Question: Why are the videos not loading? If the videos are not loading, please clear your cache and restart your browser. Try different browsers as well.
