2 Below is a brief summary of the company s activities SEIN S.r.l. based in Cassino (FR) and the major work done SEIN s.r.l. is an engineering company established in 1990, it has one office in Cassino, Province of Frosinone and has another office in Rome, near Piazza Bologna. It has an active staff of 10 engineers and collaborates with several studios and professionals. The activities of the company is placed on the planning and design of civil engineering in the area and includes the production of feasibility studies and security management. The main areas is which the SEIN works are: - STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING, specializing in the design of reinforced concrete structures, steel and steel concrete base isolation or hysteretic dissipative bracings; design of special structures, reinforced concrete bridges and prestressed steel concrete, underground structures such as tunnels and deep foundations. In earthquake engineering and consolidation of existing buildings, our staff has also gained experience in the field of analysis nonlinear devices with integration in line with equations of motion and pushover analysis. Also, the company promotes the SAP engineering computer program distributed by CSI Italia, one of the most important international software; - CIVIL ENGINEERING with the structural design of residential hospital and sport buildings, in reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel and concrete. In the design phase we treat with extream professionalisim important aspects such as fire resistance, security, home automation, air conditioning system and the electrical systems of high and low voltage; - INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING with the design of industrial buildings, air conditioning, elettrical system, remote control, tele attuazione with PLC technology Design of central production of electricity from renewable sources; - ENGINEERING OF TRANSPORTS with the structural design of infrastructure for road and rail transport. Futhermore, the design of vehicle infrastructure for organized transport and traction system. We include in particular an excellent experience in the planning and design of road infrastructure, transport systems and special works such 2

3 as bridges, viaducts, tunnels, reinforces soil, geotextiles to reinforce and/or land drainage, underpinning and road embankments; - HYDRAULIC AND ENVIROMENTAL ENGINEERING, with infrastructure design, water treatment and purification with the hydrogeologica use, protection and preservation of the territory and the environment; - SECURITY coordination both at design and execution; - CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE during construction. The company is particularly experienced in structural design in seismic areas under the new Technical Standard (DM 14/01/2008 and subsequent amendments) and calculation of the isolated structures. In fact, amongst the works in collaboration with other technical departments include calculations of seismically isolated bridges of the Atina Isernia road, as well as the calculation of the new hospital in Frosinone also isolated to the foot. Recently, also for automatic calculation, we have an agreement with CSI Italy to promote the SAP program of structural calculation. Such collaboration also extends in the direction of proposing and implementing projects using new technologies to additional dissipation of energy, technologies nowadays very important for the preservation of strategic structures. It is an ISO9001 certified company, and, therefore, adopts procedures in quality for the realitation of projects, staff training and adjustment to current standards. In terms of customer base, it works mainly with government administrations and it has often been on the market with ATI, Unions etc. SEIN S.r.l. has many facilities structural software, topographical, geotechnical, coring system for geotechnical testing, topographic GPS stations, CAD systems, computer network etc. 3
