2 COMPANY PRESENTATION Selettra Srl - founded in 2003 as a result of a takeover of Selettra snc dealing in the installation sector since is a company from Southern Italy present on Italian and international markets. It is a young but already rich in experience company, represented by a managerial group with a strong commercial and artisan tradition handed down from generation to generation. Its main activities are: international trading, energy services as an ESCo (Energy Company Service), execution and servicing of artistic, monumental and street lighting systems, execution of electric and electronic systems, execution and servicing of systems producing energy from renewable sources. It also makes studies and projects of any kind of installation and it can offer competitive products satisfying high quality standards. With its highly competent employees and collaborators and an extraordinary technological know-how, Selettra carries out important works in the sectors of installation, environmental engineering and integrated services, and encourages energy saving through technological innovation. 3 ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN ITALY Selettra designs and carries out the following installations: Civil and industrial electric systems Systems for energy production from renewable sources Artistic and street lighting systems Automation and control systems Signalling and traffic control systems Access control systems Anti-theft alarms Fire detection and alarm systems Telephone and video-telephone systems CCTV security and control systems Internal and external sound diffusion systems Wi-fi and data transmission in fibre (networks) To make a better use of energy is one of the most important challenges today s world must face. If we manage to consume less doing the same things, if we save energy and avoid wasting it, we can reduce costs, increase the competitiveness of companies and reduce environmental pollution. Selettra oriented its activities in this direction with proposals aimed at increasing efficiency and saving energy. One of the most remarkable and highly specialized activities which characterizes Selettra s entrepreneurial identity is the execution, integrated servicing and energy efficiency interventions on the street lighting systems and artistic enhancement of monuments and works of arts in general. This activity is mostly performed on behalf of public bodies which entrust the management of their installations to Selettra s professionalism, as an ESCo, for multi-year periods. Thanks to a continuous research and application of new technologies which permit to obtain and ensure maximum performance from the light-technical point of view in urban and extra-urban surroundings, Selettra is a point of reference for all the companies from the south of Italy operating in the sector. 4 Selettra s integrated offer guarantees the client high standards in terms of service efficiency and results obtained in primary energy saving. The activity of study and planning of interventions to be carried out in order to execute new installations and interventions on the existing installations involve a mixture of technologies which permit to obtain the best results in terms of relationship between energy efficiency, light-technical quality and offered services. In conformity with the company s environmental policy, Selettra purchases electric energy from leader companies of the sector which produce at least a fifth of their energy from renewable sources and then supplies it to its own clients. Moreover, in 2011 Selettra bought 25% of CER Energy Srl, a company producing electric energy from renewable sources, thus offering its clients the supply of green energy. Selettra has its headquarters in Avigliano, in a building of 400 m² where the administrative offices and a technical laboratory are situated, and a branch in Possidente with its warehouse of 1800 m², 500 of which function as a shed, 500 as a garage, 300 as Data centre offices and a technical laboratory where electric and electronic equipment is assembled, elaborated, checked and tested, 300 as an equipment shed and, lastly, 200 as technical offices. Moreover, there is an outdoor space of 5000 m² used as a storage area and cargo handling. Pagina 4 di 8

5 ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN ITALY AND ABROAD PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS Over a few years photovoltaic systems have witnessed a strong development in Italy and all over the world, being it a reliable and economically convenient technology, an efficient solution for families and companies, which made it possible to reduce the electricity bill and produce clean energy. Currently, even if there is no a feed-in tariff, the installation of a photovoltaic system is still a great, economically convenient opportunity to reduce the electricity bill due to a remarkable reduction in the module price, performance improvement and the possibility to deduct 50% of investment expenses. Having executed more than 100 installations, today our company is more and more determined to propagate this technology. The execution of numerous installations let us gain a lot of experience and create a team of highly qualified designers and installers who can carry out customized solutions for our clients. We design and carry out a wide range of solutions: partly integrated and integrated installations, installations on platform roofs and roofings, ground-based installations, sunfollowing installations, photovoltaic lamp posts, built-in innovative installations completely. 6 WIND POWER SYSTEMS Wind Energy is a renewable source undergoing a strong global development. Micro-wind parks come along with systems for the production of electric energy up to 20 kwp of variable height ranging between 7 and 18 metres. The term mini-wind system designs the production of electric energy from a wind source using generators ranging between 20 and 200 kwp of variable height that goes from 16 to 50 metres. The difference between mini-wind and large wind systems is clear and significant. Large-scale wind systems are an alternative to large thermoelectric stations using fossil fuels which have a negative visual impact and occupy large territories. Small-scale wind systems, instead, have little or no impact and no interferences with the territory and can be used by a single household, agricultural activities, service or manufacturing SMEs. Micro and mini wind systems feature two technologies: a vertical axis rotor and a horizontal axis rotor. The first type is indicated for urban and suburban installations since it has a reduced visual impact and the level of sound emissions is low (beneath the maximum threshold of 60db as per law). The second type obtains maximum energy production in open spaces with lowgrowing vegetation, so it is particularly suitable for extra urban surroundings where it can serve farms and service or manufacturing SMEs. Usage - Installations connected to the LV/MV electricity grid - Stand alone installations for isolated users - Installations for water heating - Installations activating pumps for water lifting - Hybrid photovoltaic/wind installations Mini-wind systems, due to their simple technology and low costs, are nowadays a valid alternative to the traditional method for the production of energy. Its advantage is that of using an easily available source, especially in territories with medium or high wind levels (between 6 and 10 m/s). Currently, in Italy there is a subsidy scheme for the production of energy from wind systems connected to the electricity grid, established in the Ministerial Decree 6 July The subsidies are calculated according to the net production of energy input into the grid by the installation and are based on the installation size. 7 Due to a highly positive experience we have had with the photovoltaic technology in the last five years, today Selettra is extending its offer to a turnkey supply of small-scale wind installations. Thanks to the experience accrued: in the activities of consultancy and search for areas suitable for the installation of mini-wind and wind parks, the knowledge of sector, local, regional, national and community norms regarding renewable sources in general and wind energy in particular; in the sector by means of engineering and design services as well as through the supply of specific materials for the execution of installations; by a highly professional team and taking advantage of a network of collaborators able to develop projects for the execution of miniwind systems as well as follow the whole authorization procedure and preliminary and final design. Selettra offers its public or private clients a 360 consultancy. The main activities are: identification and purchase of surface rights and easements suitable for the design and execution of a mini-wind system in the territory; investigation of the wind resource assessment (Wind Site Assestment Dashboard) aimed at the identification of wind speed in the affected area; assessment of producibility of the mini-wind system (kwh/year); final design and drawing up of the documents necessary to complete authorization procedures (Simplified Qualifying Procedure, art. 6 of D.lgs. 2 March 2011, n. 28 P.A.S.) with local authorities; processing of the application for the connection to the local grid distributor; processing of authorization procedures for the execution of the mini-wind system and the following connection; assistance for the conclusion of a notary deed for the constitution of surface rights and easements; final design of the mini-wind system including: license, concession, approval and no impediment certificate necessary for the execution of the system; Pagina 7 di 8

8 final structural and architectonic design, calculations, work supervision and Public Works Office procedure; geological report and laboratory tests; preliminary investigation and the costs of connection to the LV grid and any necessary easements for the power line; Authorization for the in-grid installation D.L.vo 28/2011 Installation of the wind turbine of up to 200kWp of power and all the components including: excavation and civil works for the installation of the mini-wind generator; building site activities and work supervision; execution of a delivery point/enel metre; supply and installation of inverter cables to the ENEL delivery point; civil works (groundwork and cable duct); access roads; security charges; commissioning of the wind generator and operation test; optimization of generator control parameters in order to maximize the producibility of the specific installation site. Registration in the cadastral map; Notification of Electric Workshop to the UTF; Request for the IAFR qualification to the GSE. All the supplies are guaranteed against original or factory defects for twenty-four months following the commissioning of the installation. The applied technological solutions are at the service of households, farms, service and manufacturing SMEs, public administrations and their aim is to produce saving and additional income.
