2 What is the time that run out for whom lives the moment? Why the moment is made of an instant? A clown lives his own time made of moments, moments that bounce in his all body. He manages to imprison the time in the motion, in the moment, living the moment. On stage few, very few things An alarm clock, that marks the time indomitable, where the absence of ticking, for a little while create the illusion of not being anymore slave of two inexorable hands DRiiin is the closure of a circle... To open other... The time desk, place from where everyone passes. From there passes also punctuality, delays, performance, wasted time... Comedy of minimum gestures, of a body. Poetic show where a clown knocks in the time, creates the time, stop the time and for a little while After years of collaboration between Andrea and his teacher, Jean Méningue, the need to tighten that teaching in creating a show comes out. It all started from an improvisation on the time: frfom there, born the desire of Andrea to deepen the meaning of the time, the magic of its flexibility and rigidity. All through the eyes and the body of a clown.
3 Andrea Menozzi Andrea Menozzi was born in Reggio Emilia in Actor, clown, juggler and mime. Versatile, he began his theatrical journey at the Galante Garrone theatre school and continued it with Yves Lebreton, Jean Meningault and Pierre Byland. He worked with Dario Fo in La Gazzetta, with Andre Casaca in Famiglia Vagalume and with Francesco Esposito in L Elisir d amore. In 2005 he won the Mercurdo festival with his first show Dammi l acqua che ho fame, which he wrote and interpreted. (directed by Andre Casaca and Andrea Menozzi). Since then he has travelled around town centres, festivals and Italian and European theatres with his productions Stoppino in Valigia, O come Arachide, Il piccolo mondo Andrea Menozzi can provoke laughter with a mere look, grimace or observation. In addition to the care which he dedicates to his technique, executed so naturally, there is his ability to capture the humanity in his intrinsic comedy, moving his audiences. His shows are marked by continuous improvisations, silent or in the spoken language of Stoppino (Wick) which is like all the others combined. Jean Ménigault, Méningue in art... Artistic research... Following Decroux s maxim: I believe that the poorer the means the richer the art, his artistic growth moves in search of the essential, in a gest and in an object Without the need for imposing scenery, he creates his universe playing his main instrument, his body. Mime of ordinary things, his creations are based in the concrete, in the familiar, thus making them extraordinary. Jean Ménigault, Méningue in art, was born in Orléans (France) in Teenager he strat by dancing Hip hop, and grew up artistically in Paris at Etienne Decroux mime school, he learned the art of acting and clowning with Philippe Hottier from the Théâtre du soleil di A. Mnouchkine and working as clown with Philippe Adrien. Creating his own shows and clown numbers, early started an international career. Since 1990, the work of Ménigue is articulated around two axes. In theatre with his one man show comique and burlesque, Le boufon du royaume Terre, from one side and with street interventions with the creation of the show Bouffonnerue from the pother side. In 2004, he met, Henning Brockhaus who bring him to the creation of many clown character for different creations Le devin du village by J.J. Rousseau; La serva Padrona by G. Pergolesi Jesi, Turandot by G. Puccini (2006/2007) at the New national Opera of Tokyo (2008), Acte sans parole by S. Beckett, Jesi (2011). His shows are houses of mirrors, like those in a theme park, where reality is transformed to offer another vision, another reflex and perhaps a reflexion. Sensitive, he manages to seize the moment, to listen to his audiences in order to carry them away for an instant into a sphere of poetry and irony.
