6 Casing and Tubing String Design Years of experience supplying oil country tubular goods have enabled us to develop proprietary software for analyzing well requirements and specifying cost-effective tubes, connections, and accessories. We can help you define the optimum connections, tubular sizes and materials. Our scope of work includes: String design Working with tubular specifications, well data, your project goals and our proprietary design software, Tenaris can develop the casing and/or tubing string that provides the most cost-effective service for your drilling and production job. Corrosion analysis and material selection Tenaris helps customers perform both material selection and corrosion analysis to define the proper steel grade of pipes, and provides estimated levels of corrosion which allows for the optimum economic selection of products. In our analysis, we utilize preliminary design data along with best estimations of wellbore data including bottomhole pressure and temperature, oil, gas and water production rates, water and gas chemical analyses and, if applicable, the type of chemical inhibitor to be used. This custom analysis produces estimated rates of corrosion for a variety of materials that could be used in the well. Based on this output, our experts provide a steel grade recommendation that ensures the steel you install will be optimal for the forecast lifetime of your well. Verification If you already have a string design, we will review it thoroughly and will verify or offer recommendations that provide greater efficiencies. 7 Pipe Management Tubular goods and accessories account for up to 20% of the well cost, so knowing your inventory and how it is being handled and maintained is important. Tenaris s tubular management services can reduce or eliminate costly rig downtime. Services include: Stock planning Tenaris representatives coordinate shipment and delivery schedules based on your drilling plans so critical objectives are met. Inventory management Our inventory management services include controlled storage of materials in conjunction with a maintenance program. Port services This package includes documentation processing, customs clearances and pipe handling. Logistics services Tenaris can schedule and track the transportation of your tubular goods and accessories. Services include loading and unloading at the port, yard, delivery point, or well site. Preparation for downhole Our preparation services provide pipe ready for running. Cleaning, visual inspection, drifting, tallying, stenciling, running-compound application, removal of thread protectors, pre-slinging and other requirements a client may need are offered. Rig returns When pipe is returned from the well, Tenaris can inspect, segregate and repair if necessary. Tubular goods are returned to a status equal to original condition. Remnant management For tubular goods and accessories that are surplus, we can assist in finding a buyer or removal of the remnants. 7

8 Accessories Management Tenaris can supply accessories for both planned activities and emergencies. To accommodate either long- or short-term needs, we can draw from our strategically located worldwide inventories. Depending on the item, we provide procurement, manufacturing, supply and stocking of tubular, cementing and running accessories including: blast joints centralizers couplings crossovers float collars float shoes flow couplings guide subs handling plugs lift plugs pup joints stabbing guides stand-off bands stop collars test plugs Threading Tenaris has licensed over 120 qualified threading shops in major worldwide drilling areas for the repair, accessory manufacturing and end-finishing of new materials. These shops provide high quality and quick turnaround for threading and repair work. Inspection Services Our oilfield tubulars inspection services range from simple field gauging and drifting, to applicable forms of non-destructive testing. These services cover the complete range of tubular materials to ensure product integrity for demanding field applications. 8

9 Wellsite and Running Services Tenaris maintains crews of trained inspection technicians and running specialists that can supplement your rig crews throughout the world. Available services include: Wellsite inspection We provide on-site services from drifting to visual connection inspection. Tubular running Tenaris brings its product and expertise to the well, offering fully trained crews that perform running of casing and tubing strings. Technical running supervision For all premium connections and/or critical material applications, Tenaris can provide specialists in make up and running of premium connections and special materials such as high-chrome alloys. 9

10 Special Services Tenaris can supply products and services that other organizations do not or cannot provide. Our presence in major worldwide drilling areas makes it easy and cost-efficient for us to fill in the service supply chain blanks. Services offered are: Protector recycling Tenaris provides collection, segregation and recycling/refurbishment/disposal of protectors using environmentally sound practices. This is especially important when dealing with thread compounds and protector materials in environmentally sensitive areas. Consumables We can help complete supply chain management services by providing consumable items such as thread compound or slings. Slotted and perforated tubing services Tenaris can provide slotted and perforated tubing for completion operations. Technical Services Tenaris provides a complete services chain for tubular products. Technical services are available to cover the complete well package including: Technical support Client training and personal assistance are offered for special grades and premium connections.
