New Senior Secondary commenced in S4 in September In our school, 11 elective subjects are offered. Besides, seniorform students who are talented and interested in Music, Japanese and French are also provided the opportunity to take the subject by participating in a jointschool program organized by Tuen Mun District Secondary School Heads Association. S.1 Admission, Orientation Activities & Healthy School Life Secondary One Admission Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S1 in September 2016). The assessment criteria are as follows: Internal exam results and the Rank Order List by Education Bureau: 50%, Performance in interviews: 35%, Conduct, ECA achievement, positions of responsibilities held at school: 15% Orientation Activities and Healthy Life A 'S1 Induction Program' is tailor made for S1 students. The objectives of the program are to nurture students to become independent and responsible learners and to help students develop clear learning goals and paths. Through selfdirected learning to develop a purposedriven attitude among students. In the 'Big Brother, Big Sister' scheme, appointed senior students are trained to help S1 freshmen adapt to their new school life. 'Big Brothers' and 'Big Sisters' will share study skills, time management skills, examination techniques and develop a personal relationship with them. Summer activities include S1 Orientation Day and the bridging course. All students join the School Physical Fitness Award Scheme organized by the Hong Kong Childhealth Foundation and Education Bureau. Some assemblies and talks aim at balanced diet promotion. Furthermore, the Tai Chi Club, Footprint Club, Psychology Club and other types of extracurricular activities are also channels to help our students develop a healthy lifestyle. Besides, our Parentteacher Association organizes 'Healthy Fruit Day' to encourage students to eat fresh fruits daily.

School Management Organisation: Schoolbased management is implemented and supported by the Incorporated Management Committee, Administrative Committee and ParentTeacher Association. The Incorporated Management Committee comprises Sponsoring Body Managers, the School Principal, Teacher Manager, Parent Manager, Alumni Manager and Independent Manager. All committees hold regular meetings. The Principal and different committees and panel heads communicate with teachers and exchange views to ensure different departments and committees run smoothly and make improvements. Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee/ Management Committee: The Incorporated Management Committee of Christian Alliance S C Chan Memorial College was established on 30th August, School Green Policy: Environmental protection is promoted in our school.the use of various resources such as energy and paper is monitored to ensure they are used wisely. 'LowCarbon Campus' Scheme is jointly run by Civic Education Committee, Campus Development & General Business Committee. Recycling bins are available on the playground for students to practise environmental protection. Learning and Teaching Plan Wholeschool Language Policy: The school mainly uses. Our school also employs a nativespeaking English teacher and emphasizes the development of biliteracy and trilingualism. In addition, the English environment is enriched by diverse activities including English Speaking Days, Lunch Time Forum and the English Corner. Furthermore, activities held by the Chinese Panel, English and Mathematics Panels and the Putonghua Speaking Days are also popular among students. Learning and Teaching Strategies : Our school not only emphasizes academic performance but also cares about personal development. The harmonious relationship between teachers and students helps students learn effectively and fosters a warm and affectionate environment. Our does not just fit the demands of the society but also nurtures wholeperson development and caters for different abilities of students. Projectlearning is conducted in S2 and the curricula of all subjects help develop higher orderthinking skills. Through our multifarious learning activities, students are well equipped for future challenges. Besides, we run Lunch Time Forum to train up students communication skills. The Reading Award Scheme broadens the scope of knowledge. Class study groups are encouraged to promote collaboration in learning. To cope with learning diversity, catchup classes and booster classes are offered as well. In school year, our school joined the Intercultural Exchanges Program organized by ASF. A student from Italy would come to our school for cultural exchange for a year. Schoolbased Curriculum: 1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Development of Key Tasks : 1. Reading Award Scheme and Friday reading periods are implemented. 2. All classrooms and special rooms are equipped with IT learning and teaching facilities to facilitate interactive learning. 3. Largescale projectlearning aiming at developing research skills and an inquiring mind is conducted in S2. 4. The 'Volunteer Campaign' and 'Service and Experience Camp' are jointly organized by Civic Education Committee, to encourage students to become more dedicated and virtuous citizens. 5. Students are encouraged to explore themselves and learn outside classrooms. Adventure military camp is organized for all S2 students. Taiwan cultural tour is for S4 students. Life Planning: Aligning with the career developmental needs of students at different stages of growth, quality life planning education and career guidance service are provided to 1. help students understand their personality, interests, abilities/skills and values/preferences; 2. nurture students positive attitudes in work and life; 3. better prepare students for actualizing individuals potential through pursuit of their career and life goals. 4. empower students through exploration of different pathways to make informed and responsible choices on their learning, career goals and other aspects leading to a meaningful life. Student Support Whole School Approach to Catering for Student Diversity: We have plentiful resources for enhancement and remedial classes. Split class teaching is implemented in Chinese, English and Mathematics lessons to assist students' learning. To enhance learning effectiveness, we adopt different teaching methodologies in a student centered approach. Measures to provide adaptation for Learning and Assessment: Assessment is carried out through tests and examinations. Besides, daily performance in class and other assignments are also taken into account as an assessment for learning. 4 HomeSchool Cooperation and School Ethos HomeSchool Cooperation: The ParentTeacher Association and the school have been working together harmoniously to foster growth of our students. PTA has organized many activities, including S1 Parents' Class, collective memory day trip, visits to universities, interest classes for parents, voluntary work scheme, seminars for parents, Fruit for Health Campaign and Parents Appreciating Teachers Drive. School Ethos: Our school promotes purity and simplicity. Students are polite, wellbehaved and teachable. Teachers develop a close rapport with students. The "Bi Class Teacher system" is implemented in S1 to S4 to ensure students receiving enough attention from two class teachers. The S1 summer bridging course helps students adapt to a new learning environment in secondary school. The Student Union, Prefects and Guidance Prefects also provide great support. Our social worker and teachers are easily accessible. Future Development School Development Plan: The school's major concerns for the years are as follows: 1. To enhance teaching and learning effectiveness through self directed learning. 2. To develop a purposedriven attitude among students. Teacher Professional Training and Development : Teachers are wellequipped for the New Senior Secondary. We organize staff retreats and seminars every year. Teaching effectiveness is also raised through teaching collaboration, peer observation and evaluation of seminars and workshops. Extracurricular/Cocurricular Activities Our school promotes extracurricular activities. This year, we offer 46 extracurricular interest groups to all students. Students can develop their creativity and potentials through religious, academic, cultural, sporting activities and also through community service. "Joy in Music" especially for S1 students includes Chinese Orchestra and Western Orchestra. Other programs include Special Learning Days, voluntary work, Christmas Celebration, Athletics Meet, Swimming Gala, mainland military camp and overseas study tours, etc. School Facilities School Facilities: The Multimedia Learning Centre, Computer Room, Student Activity Centre, Tenth Anniversary Plaza, Reading Corner, English Corner, Counselling Room, Interview Rooms, Parentteacher Association Resource Centre, Student Union Office and a Prayer Room. School Hall, Covered Playground and all classrooms are airconditioned. All classrooms and special rooms are equipped with IT teaching and learning facilities. Individual lockers are provided for all students. Facility Support for Students with Special Educational Needs: Accessible lift and Accessible toilet. Others Fok Po Yu (6D), Kwok Yuet Yi (6D) and Wong Ka Yui (6E) were selected HKSAR Top Ten Outstanding Students Tsoi Man Yan (6C at 2013/14) has been selected as "Grantham Scholar of the Year 2014/15". Fok Po Yu (6D) was awarded Tuen Mun Outstanding Youth Award and the Top Ten Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Award co organized by Home Affairs Bureau and the Commission On Youth. Lui Yan Yan (4D) was selected Hok Yau Club Outstanding Student Leaders 2015 and Wan Yan Yan (5C) got the merit prize. Wong Ka Yui Angel (6E) was awarded the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Prize for Senior Secondary School Student Kwok Yuet Yi (6D, 2014/15) got the Home Affairs Bureau Multifaceted Excellence Scholarship Lau Man (6E) was awarded the Bank of Communication Secondary School Student Scholarship th Consumer Cultural Study Award: 1. Champion & The Best Topic Award (Junior Division) 2. 2nd runnerup (Junior Division) & Merit for the Best Topic Award 3. Outstanding Project Award (Junior DIvision) 4. Special Mention Award (Junior Division) Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2014/2015: 1. Outstanding Stage Effect Award 2. Outstanding Cooperation Award 3. Commendable Overall Performance Award 4.
