Dr. Cornell Clayton will explore our current political polarization, challenging assumptions about the relationship between civility and democratic participation. Dr. Clayton s presentation will be followed by audience discussion in small groups, aimed at raising awareness about the heated climate in this year s election season. The group carries on a centuries-old musical tradition from Japan. en Taiko plays not only Japanese traditional style taiko, but also explores collaborative music creation with taiko and marimba.
