4 Mobile Web WAP Gateway Service Your subscribers can surf the mobile Web on a pay-per-use or subscription basis, while you increase your ARPU from the sale of data services. Suitable for carriers of all sizes, ClearSky s hosted WAP Gateway service supports both Open Access and Walled Garden instances simultaneously. Open Access permits subscribers who have purchased a data plan to browse the entire mobile web, while Walled Garden users are restricted to sites where they can purchase pay-per-download content such as ringtones, images, video clips and games. The flexibility to sell both types of WAP access lets you tailor your mobile data strategy to your specific circumstances and demographics. ProVantage ProVantage, ClearSky s content management platform for WAP, gives you complete control of your subscribers mobile Web experience, thus maximizing your data ARPU and causing your subscribers to return to the mobile Web again and again. ProVantage works in conjunction with the WAP Gateway service to let you easily add the WAP content sites you want your subscribers to see on their home decks. This tool permits creation of multiple home decks, which means you can segment the market and offer different WAP browsing experiences to teens, business owners, farmers, sports fans, and any other market segment you wish to define. 7 Apps Mobile Web Video For less than the price of a cup of coffee, your subscribers can enjoy unlimited monthly access to millions of videos on the most popular video sharing sites on the Web. Accessing ClearSky s massive Mobile Web Video (MWV) catalog is fast and easy because of its powerful search feature that enables users to find any video clip on any topic. MWV gathers videos from the top video-sharing sites including YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe and many others. Subscribers can set up their own accounts and log in through a carrier-branded interface that will strengthen your brand and increase customer loyalty. Mobile IM Your subscribers can access all major instant messaging networks AIM, MSN, Facebook and more directly from their phones with ClearSky s Mobile IM (MIM) service. As an extension of the PC-chat environment, MIM allows subscribers to chat on their handsets with anyone they currently chat with on their computers. Due to the built-in Web interface, MIM works on virtually all phones. This application allows users to access multiple IM accounts simultaneously with one MIM ID, as well as add/ remove/block/unblock buddies, view buddy profile, view/change personal messages and change status. Users can also take advantage of a full list of emoticons, multiple language support and auto refresh. Mobile Dating Wireless subscribers can socialize and meet singles anywhere they go using Clear- Sky s Mobile Dating application, which allows subscribers to set up a personal profile displaying personality attributes, contact info and photos all from their mobile phone. By providing their ZIP code, users will only connect with singles near their actual location. SMS alerts are sent when potential dates send an , message or a wink. 8 Billing Integration RevShare RevShare is a hosted service from ClearSky that enables carriers to efficiently charge download events such as ringtones, images, games, video clips and MMS traffic directly to a subscriber s pre- or post-paid bill. RevShare acts as the central mediation platform between the Content Management System (CMS) and the legacy billing system(s) for all event-based transactions, and translates each event into a billing system transaction record. For post-paid accounts, the CMS and RevShare communicate through an API to authorize the transaction and generate a Call Detail Record (CDR), in a format consistent with the carrier s post-paid billing system or charging gateway, for each chargeable event. For pre-paid integration, when a pre-paid subscriber attempts to purchase downloadable content, RevShare calls the pre-paid platform in real time via an API. If the subscriber has sufficient funds for the purchase, RevShare authorizes the Content Management System (CMS) to deliver the content. When the CMS notifies RevShare that the content has been successfully downloaded to the handset, RevShare instructs the pre-paid platform to debit the pre-paid subscriber s account accordingly. The RevShare application was designed to manage the billing of any chargeable event, so carriers can use it to facilitate billing for any number of thirdparty content providers in addition to ClearSky s content, if necessary Tools Billing Integration

10 Tools ProConfig ClearSky s ProConfig OTA hosted application transmits WAP Gateway, WAP deck URL, and MMS configurations to GSM phones, thereby helping carriers reduce customer care costs and increase revenues by enabling subscribers to use advanced data services. The Device Management Server (DMS) activates, configures and updates all major device types and formats. The DMS is updated on an ongoing basis to support the very latest devices and parameters available. Our carrier clients customer service representatives have access to the DMS Web Server through a simple-to-use web page, on which they enter a mobile phone number and the model of the phone. The DMS, cross-referencing its customer profile and configuration database, generates and sends a configuration SMS message via your SMS-C. 11 Provisioning ProVision ClearSky s ProVision tool allows carriers to manage all of the ClearSky managed services through a single, integrated provisioning system. ProVision acts as a gateway so that just one method of provisioning will activate and maintain all the various ClearSky components such as the WAP Gateway Service, ProVantage, and MMS Service. ProVision offers three different options for provisioning. They are: direct Customer Service Representative (CSR) access through a web portal; direct connection to the carrier s legacy provisioning systems, or auto provisioning through a special WAP interface on the handset. Using any of these methods, ProVision can provision virtually any mobile content system component. While all three options are available, our most popular configuration of ProVision is to programmatically interface ProVision to the carrier s legacy provisioning system via ProVision s published API. This automated, real-time interface ensures that the data services associated to the carrier s subscribers records in its customer care and billing system (i.e., feature codes) are consistent with the data services provisioned in the elements of the data network provided by ClearSky (i.e., WAP Gateway, MMS-C, ProVantage, etc.).
