3 RESIDENTIAL The Magic of Atmosphere A client of ours once coined a description of Cantara that perfectly encapsulates our goal. He called our work the fourth dimension of his home. Pictured here, his home had everything a stunning ocean view, sleek modern architecture, elegant interior furnishings, a top of the line music and entertainment system, state of the art lighting and a renowned security system. Built on the campus of University of California, Davis, the 2014 Honda Smart Home U.S. represents the near future of sustainable residential technologies. Working closely with engineering teams from Honda Motors, the CLTC-authors of California s Title 24 building codes and the Davis Energy Group, Cantara helped dream up new methods for increasing efficiency while maintaining or improving comfort and livability. The result is a home that produces and conserves more energy than it consumes while recharging an electric vehicle nightly and the ability to sell back 2KwH of power each day. Cantara is the first company in the world to have connected a residential control system to a car s charging system, enabling complete control of an EV s charging behavior. Cantara continues to prove itself ahead of the game in sustainability and integration expertise. 6 7

10 CLIENT & ESTATE SERVICES Client Services At Cantara, true client satisfaction encompasses the entire ownership experience from proposal to payment and for the next eight to ten years that a well-built Entertainment and Technology System should last. To provide the best support, we employ a dedicated team of highly qualified service technicians that only focus on completed projects. A full-time in-office Client Services Coordinator schedules and follows up on all service requests, as well as manages equipment exchanges and repairs to ensure efficient processing of any downtime or upgrades. Estate Management Cantara is fortunate to have worked in some of the largest and most magnificent homes in America and for some of the highest profile people in the world. We understand the unique challenges of massive homes and the technology systems and extremely selective clients that live in them. We cater to every situation, including new construction, existing systems that need rescuing from an overwhelmed competitor and even full system upgrades

12 Why is our logo a 3,000 year-old musical instrument? The lyra is one of western civilization s oldest musical instruments. It is the father of the modern Zither family, which includes the violin, guitar and harp. The word lyric is derived from the word lyra and in their connection lies the meaning behind Cantara s logo. Three thousand years ago, the lyra was the only technology that accompanied and enhanced theatrical performances, bringing a new dimension to the art of storytelling. Though technology has progressed and given us film, television and all kinds of avenues for storytelling, the spirit of getting lost in the experience remains the same. At Cantara, we feel a kinship to the lyra craftsmen who built their technology to enhance the human experience.
