3 Tulsa Development Authority Improving the quality of life while preserving neighborhoods. Tax Incentive Districts Growing business in downtown Tulsa. Developing The Dream. Dedicated to the continual enrichment of our communities and the enhancement of our quality of life, the Tulsa Development Authority is truly devoted to the revitalization and development of Tulsa. Indeed, the Tulsa Development Authority is leading the charge to create a better home for all of us. Working in conjunction with government, business and residential sectors, the Tulsa Development Authority is responsible for a variety of activities. From the renaissance of our urban core, to the preservation and rehabilitation of our residential communities and the creation of innovative working, shopping and living centers, the Tulsa Development Authority is dedicated to developing a better future for all Tulsans. 1

4 Preserving Our Past. Planning Our Future. While new development projects can invigorate a community, it also is vital to preserve our rich heritage. The Tulsa Development Authority is charged with the responsibility for both. Through the efforts of the Tulsa Development Authority s Revitalization and its Rehabilitation and Emergency Repair Assistance programs, new life has been infused into many of Tulsa s aging communities. The results of these efforts are new urban technology and business centers to help uplift our economy, affordable suburban residential development to help our families realize part of the American dream, and low-interest home improvement loans and emergency grants to help those in times of need. Preserving history while providing new living environments. Creating homes provides the foundation for a better quality of living in both established and new communities. 2

5 Community. Commerce. Lifestyle While some might think of the Tulsa Development Authority as dealing only with issues typically associated with urban renewal, our activities and programs have a much farther reach, positively impacting our total community. Without a doubt, the efforts and programs of the Tulsa Development Authority are continuing to expand in scope with every new success. The end results affect the excellence of Tulsa s residential communities, our city s commercial success and even the quality of our lives. The staff and management of the Tulsa Development Authority are proud to serve Tulsa and look forward to playing a significant role in its continued development. The transition from old to new has been accelerated through private development on Tulsa Development Authority residential lots.
