CSTT205 Marine Technician Fundamentals This course, the first of three required courses for the industry-recognized 350- hour Marine Technician Certificate, provides classroom and hands-on instruction in marine safety, tools and equipment, the basics of marine engine parts, marine systems (water, fuel, steering, electrical, lubrication, ventilation, ignition, instrumentation), as well as the underlying theories of combustion, electricity, and power generation. Included are fall lay-up, spring preparation, trailering, yard equipment, and basic boat moving procedures. The 350-hour Marine Technician Certificate is issued jointly by Massasoit Community College and the Massachusetts Marine Traders Association at the successful completion of all three required courses in the program. (3.5 contact hours) CSTT322 Electrician D Lic/NFPA-Part 2 One of 12 State-approved and mandated courses required to fulfill the NEW 300- hour classroom training requirement for the Electrician D-License. This course gives an in-depth understanding of NFPA-72 and its interpretation for alarm installers. All requirements of a fire detection system under NFPA-72 will be analyzed.
