Friday, October 30 NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering for (PE) Exam Day Good Luck! COURSE PREREQUISITES There are no, true, prerequisites for this particular course offering, however, the following is what we suggest to further the effectiveness of your learning and comprehension of topics covered: Acquire the recommended textbooks and/or study materials before starting this course (listing provided in later sections). Purchase the most up-to-date edition/version of the textbooks/study materials (listing provided in later sections has newest edition/version). Read and work problems in the chapters pertaining to upcoming topics, on your own, before coverage in actual class time. Be mindful, some real exam problems may require knowledge of Engineering Economics, Ethics, and Business Practices, as well as Mathematics. We cover these topics in our Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Refresher Courses as well as other essential topics you may need. If you would like to attend these FE/EIT Topic Sessions and/or acquire the class notes for these topics, please contact the CEEP Office. WHAT THIS COURSE IS ALL ABOUT Do you want to pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Licensure Exam? It seems like a simple question, and other reference materials will help you. However, learning in an interactive classroom, where we encourage students to ask questions, is far more effective and successful than studying on your own. With example problems and solutions presented by our subject matter experts in each discipline, this course prepares students for the 8-hour, open-book, 40 multiple-choice questions in the PE-Mechanical Depth in HVAC and Refrigeration Exam, or the afternoon portion of the exam. Our refresher course explores exam topic knowledge and techniques for successful standardized test taking. It is ideal for any student looking to develop and fully understand core proficiencies, as well as those students preparing for licensure as a Professional Engineer. Participants learn how to decipher and use NCEES Board established best practices for success. We help to prepare you to pass the exam on the first try! http://eetd.lbl.gov/l2m2/images/cfl-fig2.jpg WHERE THE VALUE IS IN THIS COURSE As well as providing additional problem and solution practice, we supply a committed setting for developing professional relationships with other highly qualified students, which in-turn creates study groups for even further comprehension. Overall, our students establish a deeper understanding of the type of questions presented on the exams. We teach our students how to apply extremely valuable knowledge, concepts, plus tools and techniques for passing the exams. Now is the time! Students must move quickly to redesign themselves for the 21 st century. There is new competition, changing demands, and shifting markets. Thousands of people cannot be wrong!
