Cracovia Danza Court Ballet Municipial Institution of Culture inkrakow Dear Sir/Madam We hereby propose you an artistic offer of the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet - Municipial Institution of Culture in Krakow (Poland) for the 2012/2013 season along with a cooperation proposal with this only Polish professional early dance ensemble managed by Romana Agnel - dancer, choreographer, director and pedagogue. The repertoire of the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet contains of a wide variety of different performances that allude to the history of European dance and cultural legacy of all periods, from the Middle Ages to the beginnings of the 20 th century. Besides, some of the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet's spectacles are based on the compositions and forms of Polish national and folk dances as well as on the history and traditions of Krakow (Poland). Furthermore, the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet conducts educational activity by means of organizing workshops, thematic exhibitions and lectures. In the year 2000, The Cracovia Danza Court Ballet organized for the first time the 'Cracovia Danza' Court Dance Festival to mark the granting of the title of 'European Capital of Culture' to Krakow (Poland). From that time The Festival is held annualy in August in Krakow, the capital city of Malopolska and meets with the great interest of the enthusiasts of court culture from all over the world. Due to the recognition in Poland and abroad the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet participates in the significant ballet, theatrical and operatic productions. Over the years the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet cooperated with numerous outstanding institutions of culture in Poland and abroad as well as with world-renown instrumentalists and early dance ensembles, e.g. 'The Spirit of Gambo', Hannover (Germany); 'Il Tempo', Warsaw (Poland); 'Le Concert de l'hostel Dieu', Lyon (France); 'La Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy' (France); 'Ricercar Consort', Brussels (Belgium); 'Collegium Marianum', Prague (Czech Republic); 'Consortium Sedinum'; Szczecin (Poland); 'Ars Cantus'; Wroclaw (Poland); 'United Continuo Service' (Germany); 'Intrada', Krakow (Poland); Maria Pomianowska with the Ensemble; Warsaw (Poland). The Cracovia Danza Court Ballet participates in a wide variety of prestigious events (e.g. the 750 th anniversary of the Location of the City of Krakow; celebration of unveiling the monument of Jan Zamoyski as a part of The Year of Zamosc; the series of events 'The Carnival in Krakow'; The Days of Krakow in Vilnius and Lvov; the 635 th anniversary of the location of Koszyce; Night of Museums and Theatres in Krakow, Poland). Within the Chopin Year Celebrations the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet presented its repertoire performance 'Chopin's Dance World' in Poland and abroad (among others: in Austria, France and Belgium as a part of series of events 'Chopin in European salons' subsidized by Ministry of Culture and National Heritage). Besides, the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet performs during the renown festivals, e.g. International Music Festival 'Concentus Moraviae' (Czech Republic); Early Music Festival 'Tage der Alte Musik Regensburg' (Germany); International Summer Academy of Early Music (Poland); International Dance Festival 'Summer Ballet in Ladek-Zdroj'; The Festival
'Days of Music in Zamosc'; International Moniuszko Festival in Kudowa Zdroj (Poland); Baroque Opera Festival (Germany); Early Music Festival (Italy); Poland-wide Early Music Ensembles 'Schola Cantorum' (Poland). The Cracovia Danza Court Ballet will perform in front of your audience or invited guests. Worth emphasizing asset of all performances is nonverbal communication clear even for foreign-language audience. All performances of the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet have an interesting plot, musical background of the period and are enriched with beautiful costumes. Those spectacles meet with great interest and popularity among children and adults. Every of the spectacles can be performed as a whole or cut for shorter scenes that interlard with the items of your event programme. Those performances may last over one hour and engage all of the dancers (10-12 people) or may be shorter presentations of dance forms that last around 10 minutes with reduced line-up. The Cracovia Danza Court Ballet's artistic proposal may be also an interesting highlight of different ceremonies (among others: anniversaries, jubilees, conferences) or closed meetings. What should be marked is the work of Cracovia Danza choreographers and dancers who conduct workshops of court and historical dance in the whole country.
