Players emotion after winning the match for the bronze medal In case of unsuccessful payment, after three (3) attempts to contact the athlete, the FIVB Finance Department will sends an official letter (to the National Federation and to the athlete) to inform them of the money transfer to the respective National Federation that will be debited within the following 5-10 days. In case of no response, the athlete s VISASP account is then debited and the FIVB Finance Department informs the FIVB IT Department to book the payment in VISASP. The FIVB will inform the athletes/national Federations in case the Prize Money will not be paid in time for any reason whatsoever. A bank charge for each wire transfer outside Switzerland will be deducted. Should a bank transfer bounce back due to insufficient information provided by the athlete (i.e. incomplete or obsolete information in the athlete s data base) a further bank charge shall be applied. The above principle applies if the responsibility of a transfer returned to the FIVB bank is on the side of the FIVB. The athlete is responsible for paying the relevant taxes for his/her earnings in his/her own country and he/she must update both his/ her bank account details and his/her personal information at the beginning of the contract year through the FIVB Beach Volleyball web based system. In case of delays in updating such sections, the bank charges will be equally borne by the athletes and by the FIVB. It is the responsibility of the National Federations and athletes representative to encourage athletes to verify their personal data before their first event participation. Failure in updating such information will make it impossible for the FIVB to pay the Prize Money to the athletes concerned. Sanctions are deducted directly from the Prize Money earned by the athletes or must be paid 14 days prior to the start of the event the athlete will take part in. If a debt still exists, the National Federation concerned will be held accountable by the FIVB. 10.3 FIVB Bonus Pool A.
