VENTUZ ONLINE STORE CONCEPT V1.02 2015-09-22

CONCEPT The Ventuz Store will be open for all vendors who intend to offer their Ventuz related articles. Every vendor (company or freelancer) gets the opportunity to generate additional revenue with his articles and reaches the whole Ventuz community with very little effort. Articles will be added to the store by the store team only. The vendor will receive a quarterly payment for sales of his products together with a report on the sales numbers. In addition every single sale will be reported to the vendor via mail. The store will offer payment via credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. Vendors are able to set up their own info page in the store containing their logo. Customers are able to search for products by a given vendor or label. This also offers vendors the possibility to set up a forward from their existing shop or website to their info page in the Ventuz Store. It will be possible to search for text, tags, vendors and more. There will be reviews and ratings for the products. It is planned to have a direct shop integration with Ventuz 5. The Ventuz Store Team will never distribute any shop articles outside the store or use them for their own purposes ACCESS TO PRODUCTS Products that can and must be protected (Plugins, Shaders,..) can be downloaded as trial versions. This requires the interested party to set up an account with their name and mail address. Once the mail address has been verified, the trial version can be downloaded in the store. Once a product has been purchased and the payment has been made, the product can be downloaded as a free version. 3d assets or other products that can t be protected will only be available for download after payment. Every vendor may offer products for free (freebies) to generate additional attention to his other products or if he feels like offering something to the Ventuz community for free. These freebies also require a registration before downloading.

SUPPORT In addition to mail support via the store there will be a new area in the existing Ventuz forum. Here additional descriptions can be posted, question can be answered and news can be announced. Also customers can come here with any problems and get support by the Ventuz Store Team, the vendor and the whole Ventuz community. It s also possible for the vendor to start a survey or ask for feedback on existing or future products. Every vendor is required to offer mail support for his products. This is managed with a ticket system. Additionally the vendor is welcome to frequently visit the forum and offer additional support on his products there. CATEGORIES As a first step the following categories will be available on the store. If there is no content for a category yet, it will be hidden from the visitors. Since the store is still in its design phase, categories are subject to change. Generally all Ventuz related products that are useful can be offered in the store. Explicitly excluded are sales of Ventuz licenses and tutorials. VENTUZ Mesh FX, Video FX and Image FX Assets (several sub categories) - 3d scenes, 3d models, 3d assets, Interfaces (environments, backgrounds, objects,..) ARTICLE DESCRIPTION Ventuz article Every article should get a detailed description, a version number and the supported Ventuz version. Every article can be purchased separately. It is desired to also have bundles containing several articles (more details under BUNDLES). Plugins require a detailed description as PDF so that a customer can quickly look up parameter details. Assets (OBJ, FBX, C4D, DAE files and textures as PNG or PSD) (not yet clear) Every 3d asset requires a detailed description, pictures/movies and the information, what formats are provided. It s also important to include wireframe images as well as a polycount, the number of objects and the texture resolutions. TOOLS (external tools like exporters, scripts,...) External tools should get a detailed description, a version number, the supported Ventuz and external tool version. Tools require a detailed description so that a customer can quickly look up parameter details.

DISTRIBUTION KEY Plugins, Shader, Scripte, Games & Tools Vendor plugin and tool article (plugins, shader, tools, scripts, games,..) Development, parameter description: 50% (Vendor) Demo scenes: 10% (Vendor or Ventuz Store) Store images, videos, tutorials, final description: 10% (Vendor or Ventuz Store) Shop maintenance, order management, description PDF, support after consulting with the vendor, store costs, commission: 30% (Ventuz Store) Vendor up to 70% for each sold product Content article Vendor content article (Libraries, Interfaces, 2d/3d assets, scenes, templates,..) Content creation and description: 55% (Vendor) Demo scenes: 10% (Vendor or Ventuz Store) Store images, videos, tutorials, final description: 10% (Vendor or Ventuz Store) Shop maintenance, order management, description PDF, support after consulting with the vendor, store costs, commission: 25% (Ventuz Store) Vendor up to 75% for each sold product 3rd-party content libraries It will also be possible for vendors to open their products to 3rd-party vendors so that these can create additional libraries. This will lead to more content and increase the original product s visibility. This will be noted in the product s description.

3rd-party content libraries The 3rd-party vendor as well as the customer buying the library must have purchased the original product. Example: There is a particle system plugin offered by a vendor. For this plugin a 3rd-party vendor can create interesting effects and offer them as a library in the store. The visibility and attractiveness of the particle system is increased. The 3rd-party vendor as well as a customer interested in these effects have to purchase the particle system plugin first. 3rd-party content library Content creation and description: 30% (3rd-party vendor) Plugin developer: 20% (vendor) Demo scenes: 10% (3rd-party vendor or Ventuz Store) Store images, videos, tutorials, description: 10% (3rd-party vendor or Ventuz Store) Shop maintenance, order management, description PDF, support after consulting with the vendor, store costs, commission: 25% (Ventuz Store) 3rd-party vendor up to 50% for each sold product Vendor up to 20% for each sold product

BUNDLES Bundles containing different articles from one given vendor are possible and welcome. Additional efforts for bundles: Composing the bundles (Ventuz scenes and repositories) Putting the bundles up on the store, creating extended descriptions Creation of additional images Might increase the amount of support Distribution key for bundles Example for a bundle containing 3 articles Article 1: shop price 100 = 33.33% of 300 Article 2: shop price 150 = 50% of 300 Article 3: shop price 50 = 16.66% of 300 This adds up to a total price of 300 The bundle is supposed to cost 250 (bundle price) The share that each article has on the total price will be applied to the bundle price: Article 1 receives 33.33% of the bundle price = 83.33 Article 2 receives 50% of the bundle price = 125 Article 3 receives 16.66% of the bundle price = 41.67 The additional effort is not taken into consideration since the biggest part of the work has already be done. However if the additional effort should be too high, up to 5% of the bundle price will be kept by the Ventuz Store in agreement with the vendor. The calculated article prices will be distributed using the previously specified distribution key for each product.

TERMS Articles can only include material for which the vendor owns the copyrights or has a license for commercial use. Every vendor has to sign a statement to relieve the Ventuz Store of any possible liability claims. There will be detailed templates for all descriptions and PDFs. Also detailed requirements for images, movies and other resources will be specified. ARTICLE PRICES The vendor specifies the price for his articles. However those prices should be proportionate. They will be reviewed by the Ventuz Store Team and might be adapted in agreement with the vendor. LICENSE MODEL The Vendor can decide to sell their product with different licensing model. 1. Upgrade License: Upgrade from older Versions 2. Individual License: Single User / Freelancer 3. Corporate License: Unlimited Users per Company

QUALITY ASSURANCE All products must be checked for copyright infringements, stability, compatibility and quality issues. This will be done by the Ventuz Store Team and can t be automated. The in-store competition should be held at a low level. It is not desired to have very similar products competing in a price fight. The Ventuz Store Team reserves the right to reject any product that is already present in a very similar form. Store images, videos, tutorials and other resources must have a store-wide consistent quality. Material that has not been created by the Ventuz Store Team will still be reviewed by the team to assure such a quality. If any resource don t meet the quality criteria the Ventuz Store Team will contact the vendor and discuss any required changes. SALES PROMOTIONS The Ventuz Store reserves the right to have sales promotions up to three times a year to increase sales. This usually happens towards the end of the year and applies to all products in the store. Such a sales promotion will not last longer than a month and will reduce all prices by 15-25%. This will also impact the shares distributed to vendors. We have experienced that sales promotions increase revenue and help sell articles that usually don t perform that well. However the frequency of such promotions must be held low.
