Designated among the top 3% of all U.S. charities for financial management by Charity Navigator. Refocused the agency on our primary mission; created a highly successful strategic plan; reinvented resource development department into one of the most successful in the region; developed new funding streams, new programs, increased clients served by 350% since 2003. Exceeded the 2005-2007 $7.9 million capital campaign goal by $2.8 million and more than doubled the size of the TLC campus. Collaborated with USD 233 for them to build a state of the art 14,000 square foot school on the TLC campus plus purchased two tracks of new land to expand the campus. Raised funds to develop 1 st class IT system and world class website. Acquired KEYS Youth Services including $1.2 million in assets and $1.5 million in revenue. Marketing, rebranding and media plans that have created unprecedented recognition for KidsTLC and additional funding streams such as 5 federal earmarks. Created a significant employee benefit package, purchased new accounting, fundraising and client management software, and eliminated all deferred maintenance on campus. Established TLC Charities Foundation with a $2.3 million endowment, $1.3 million in planned gifts and healthy operating reserves Held a number of leadership positions on elected and volunteer boards for over three decades. MIDAMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY, OLATHE, KS 1989-2001 Vice President for Campus Life Served as the Chief Student Affairs and Enrollment Officer providing leadership to over 100 employees that served 1,500 students. Developed innovative student life, athletics, financial aid and admissions practices that led to full dorms, high enrollment, low attrition and excellent student satisfaction scores. Twenty-five years of University teaching and leadership experience. Post-doctoral education at Harvard University in leadership and taught leadership principles for 15 years. Selected as the MNU Administrator of the Year in 1991. Instituted strategic planning process and student life think tank that lead to numerous improvements and accomplishments some of which are listed below. Revolutionized student life programs and made presentations to national organizations about these innovations; provided leadership to a peer group of other Christian Universities. Significantly increased campus student enrollment, built two new dorms, renovated six other dorms, and automated student records. Renovated student center, student recreational building, added new athletic fields, and new intercollegiate athletic programs, and helped to plan a world class student wellness center.

Responsible for student s passing an increase in their activity fees to fund various student life projects such as Land Memorial gym remodel, new softball, practice football and intramural fields and new track. MIDAMERICA NAZARENE COLLEGE, OLATHE, KS 1981-1989 Professor of Psychology and Chairman of Human Development Division Responsible for teaching, curriculum development and academic leadership of the departments of Physical Education, Psychology, Sociology, and Teacher Education (largest academic division). Served on General Education Committee for revision of General Core. Faculty representative to the Board of Trustees and North Central Accreditation Committee. Chaired committee that developed undergraduate degree completion and the Master s programs Assisted in creating, marketing and teaching in the MHR & MED programs. MIDAMERICA NAZARENE COLLEGE, OLATHE, KS 1977-1981 Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Responsible for enrollment planning, coordination of recruitment, and retention activities. Provided leadership to a staff of eight. Developed and implemented a strategic plan for media communication which led to increased University enrollment and decreased University attrition. Developed and implemented a sophisticated marketing/recruitment plan that included an innovative use of financial aid that led to MNU s largest freshman classes. MIDAMERICA NAZARENE COLLEGE, OLATHE, KS 1974-1977 Director of Counseling Services Responsibility was setting up the first counseling services for the University that included providing psychological & career development services. Created policy, procedure and operational plan for counseling service. Provided individual and group counseling, and psycho-educational services to students. Developed a peer counseling and freshman counselor programs that reduced attrition. Developed comprehensive training programs for Resident Directors and Resident Assistants.
