ebay Order Import SellerDeck Desktop 2016 is able to import orders that are placed at your ebay store. This means all your order processing and stock management can be done in one place, rather than across two different systems. To configure this functionality go to Settings > Extensions > ebay Order Management. Initial Setup The User Token is used to identify SellerDeck to ebay as a valid user. Click Authenticate to ensure ebay and SellerDeck can talk to each other without issues. The only other job to do is make sure that SellerDeck can handle the stock control. By default, SellerDeck looks at the ebay Custom Label field work out what products have been sold on ebay. If you use the same value for your Custom Labels as you use for the Product References in SellerDeck, then the stock levels will be reconciled between the two systems. How Do I Know Which Orders Are From ebay? There is a new column in the Orders panel called Channel which will show you whether the order came from your SellerDeck store or from ebay. Notes for Developers Extensions Architecture The ebay Order Import is not just another new feature. It is the first proper SellerDeck Extension, which has been written using an extension architecture that has been built in SellerDeck Desktop 2016. We expect it to be the first of many new extensions built by SellerDeck and by our development partners. Currently, SellerDeck s extension architecture allows read/write access to the orders in the database, so you can extract, view and update order information as required. There is also a Desktop API, which allows you to add new tabs and menu options to the software. Google Analytics and Adwords Take a look at Marketing > Google Analytics and Adwords. SellerDeck now fully supports Integration with Google Universal Analytics (but if you want to stay on existing legacy Analytics, this is still supported). You can also enter Adwords code and Remarketing code provided by Google into this window if you want to use and track it in your store. An to SellerDeck Desktop 2016 3
PayPal Enhancements SellerDeck s ongoing partnership with PayPal has resulted in some very useful enhancements for SellerDeck Desktop 2016 You can now Capture, Refund and Void PayPal payments from the Progress and Payments tab of the order in SellerDeck. SellerDeck has also further developed the integration with PayPal by adding support for custom company logo images in the online PayPal payment screens. This is controlled via the Configure Method button in Business Settings > Security and Payments. One further addition is the delivery address of the order (if different from the billing address) now appears in the online PayPal payment page. Stock Management Enhancements Stock Levels for Choices It is now much easier to manage the stock levels of choices. Rather than having to create a hidden product for each choice (or each combination of choices) stock levels can now be entered and managed directly in the Permutations panel of a component: An to SellerDeck Desktop 2016 4
Pack Products Another related enhancement is with Pack Products. Where you have a product made up of lots of different products, the stock of the pack is now calculated in real time on the site, based on the number of each product required per pack vs. the numbers in stock. For example: if you sell a pack made up of 5 cleaning cloths and 3 bottles of detergent and in stock you have 18 cloths and 7 bottles of detergent, SellerDeck will display a stock level of 2 for the pack. This is because 2 is the most packs that can be made up from the stock available (limited by the number of bottles of detergent). Online Stock Levels with Dynamic Choices The stock enhancements have been extended to the dynamic choices as well so they work with online stock monitoring. If a particular choice goes out of stock online, you don t have to wait to do a download and an update in order to remove that option from the website. Instead, the option will be dynamically hidden by the online stock monitoring functionality and will no longer appear on the page. Out of Stock Product Log Keeping track of your out of stock products is now much easier with the Stock Product Log. This is a CSV file that is automatically updated by SellerDeck every time a product goes out of stock. SEO and Design Feefo Rich Snippets Rich snippets are pieces of HTML code that can be read by Google and incorporated into search results. Using rich snippets with Feefo means that Google can potentially read the Feefo ratings that your customers have given the products, and will show those rankings as star ratings on the search results. XML Site Map Generation An XML-format sitemap is now generated and uploaded as standard by SellerDeck, You can then point your Google Webmaster Tools at it in order to help Google to quickly and accurately index all the products in your store.
