The Book Fair was a huge success. Students remarked on how many new titles were available. We sold out of many of the books offered, but the online fair is available to order the books that were gone (Online Fair closes tonight May 5). Thanks to your support of reading and readers, we were just shy of $11,200.00 in sales resulting in $2,798.00 added to the library account, $500.00 in books added to our library, and 52 book fair certificates redeemed for books by students and teacher. Many books were purchased for teachers to add to their classroom libraries. The profit to the library has already purchased $1,500.00 in new books, will renew the subscription providing 3 award-winning books to the library each month, purchase new covers for the chairs in the storypit, provide special library supplies and allow the purchase of new books in the fall from preview books sent by various book vendors. A successful Book Fair keeps our library collection vibrant throughout the school year and is one way we work to keep the latest and greatest books in the hands of our students! Our next book fair will follow Thanksgiving next fall! In the meantime, keep reading!
