She is member of National Board of Hellenic National Nurses Association; also she participated as the Greek representative in Workgroup of European Nurses Researchers (2001-present). She participated in European Project Health Promotion for Elderly people (healthproelderly) No 790699 (2006-2008).Also she participated in European Project EU-Net PasEuropean Network for Patient Safety. Also she participated and structured a Master in Europe: Transcultural Nursing.Erasmus IP Prog. Coordinator: Research Centre for Transcultural Studies in Health. Middlesex University 2003-2005 and she has organised a Balkan Intensive Programme in UOA Health Services Management and Administration and Public Health.Nursing Department of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.3-22 June 2002.She has published 3 Greek books on Community Health Nursing (2005), Home Health Care (1998) and chapter in English book on Transcultural and Social Health Care». HISTORY The laboratory Community Health Nursing established in Governmental Gazette 18572/Β1 No1 GG 2226/20/11/2007 ISSUE Β and includes the following Units: M.D 1. Family s Healthcare and Health Promotion at Home. 2. School Nursing (Special Education, Classic Education). 3. Study of special populations - Transcultural Nursing. 4. Community Population Healthcare Needs assessment. The aim of the laboratory is: 1. The cover of the undergraduate and postgraduate educational and research needs of Nursing Faculty as well as in other faculties of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. 2. Nurses and other health care providers specialisation in Home Healthcare issues, School Nursing and Transcultural Nursing 3. The conduct of research aiming at: Studying and coping with home healthcare issues. Technology and applications development according to the country s needs. Technological conditions development for the connection between Nursing department and the Greek market. 4. Healthcare services according relevant legislation. 5. Research collaboration with Teaching and Research Personnel of other faculties of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and with all country s universities. 6. Collaboration with research centres and Academic Institutions in Greece and abroad, provided that the scientific objectives coincide, match and complement with those of the laboratory in spirit of reciprocity and collective work with participation in
