Annual Report 2011-2012

Letter from board Our Mission & Vision from the Board of Directors of Impact Campus Ministries Our Annual Report represents numbers, but more importantly, it documents our mission, vision, and core values. We believe we have an effective formula for success, and we are convinced that our vision to make an impact throughout the world has established an exciting course for the future. Our MISSION is Our Formula for Success We champion the idea that true fruit for the kingdom of God will be the natural result of walking in relationship with God. As our staff members PURSUE, MODEL, and TEACH their walk with Him, students will follow along, seeing the fruit of God at work in their lives as they become our future world leaders. Our VISION is Our Course for the Future We envision our students making an impact on their college campuses (IMPACT the U). We recognize that students are the ones who are best capable of reaching their peers. Therefore, we focus our efforts on training student leaders who are not only passionate for God, but who are also burdened to share the Good News with their friends. As we empower and train students to make disciples, they will have an increasingly significant influence on the university, academia, and the future of education. We see our students making an impact in the world (IMPACT THE WORLD). Students attending universities across the USA are graduating each year, beginning careers in medicine and other science-related fields. They are moving into the political sphere and into leadership positions in the business world. They are passionate in areas of social justice and in seeing the Church take hold of the opportunities to serve the poor throughout the world. Each young mind and heart, using the platform that God has assigned him/her, is looking for those God-ordained opportunities to use their Christlike character to shape our society. The potential is great to realize a bright world tomorrow if we will invest in these young people today. We thank you for making the investment with us. Working together, we will impact the university and, through these young people, impact the world. impact the U(niversity) impact the world. We believe that students will make a positive impact on their world as they pursue a relationship with God, model that relationship through action, and intentionally teach others to do the same.

Impact the U Allison Zandarski, student with impact- south bend at St. Mary s College, was instrumental in beginning Impact s ministry at St. Mary s College in South Bend, IN and has quickly become a leader within the student leadership team. Through the weekly Bible Study that Allison leads, she was able to baptize two fellow classmates into Christ last May. Allison is currently making plans to lead Impact students from the South Bend area on a mission trip to India in the summer of 2013. Colter Christensen, new student with Impact-Salt Lake at the University of Utah, greatly encourages us. He has shown great leadership potential in the group by his sensitivity and listening to the Holy Spirit. For example, during a group prayer time early this semester, he sensed God speaking directly to him, urging him to do something very specific. Wasting no time, Colter obeyed by making an important phone call to an old friend, sharing what God had put on his heart. Sophia Fong, student at University of Idaho, has a pursuit of Christ that is modeled through her love of the students she works with as a Resident Assistant. Sophia s desire to place herself in a position of intentional leadership with students allows the fruit of her life for God to be seen daily. It also gives her numerous opportunities to share His story with them. Impact the World Kyle Jones, Impact boise state alumni, has a desire, heart, and passion to make a difference in the lives of the marginalized, oppressed, and poor throughout Africa. Kyle is working on a project to give voice to the least of these, help them experience a renewed life story, and bring hope to places that often only see despair. Emme Bozone, student with Impact Christian fellowship at Florida Gulf Coast, was baptized her freshmen year at Florida Gulf Coast University. Now a junior, she plans to enter vocational ministry upon graduation and spent this past summer as a mission intern in Malawi and Zambia, ministering to African youth. Tom Varghese, Impact Albany Alumni, his wife, Leena, and their three children moved to India on September 15 to work full time in ministry with Bombay Teen Challenge to rescue young women from human trafficking and the Red Light District. This ministry does an amazing job of loving these ladies, bringing the Gospel into their lives, and giving them a chance at self-sustainability.

Annual Report A note from Bill Westfall, President & Director of Ministry Development Looking back over our second fiscal year of operations, I am very pleased with the consistent and steady progress we are making as an organization. ICM is determined to build a solid foundation, from which we will be able to provide support to our campus ministry staff as we both maintain current ministry locations and establish new locations in the years ahead. I m especially encouraged to see that our number of donors increased by 31% (from 640 to 840) and our total income from donations increased by 16.6% from the previous year. More importantly, we made an impact on the lives of over 900 students! I sense that our donors are also encouraged by these positive steps we are making - their support of our work is evident. While we have made good progress in some areas, we are still not satisfied. We want to initiate new ministries on college campuses around 12.2% 64.4% To view a full report, visit our website: www.impacttheu.com A quick look at the numbers 640 840 2010-2011 2011-2012 Number of Individual Partners Number of Church Partners Number of Organizational Partners Donor Partnerships Program Administration Fundraising 23.4% Investing in the Future Financial report the country (see the back cover of this report for more details on locations we are currently working in to initiate new ministries). We know this is going to take a lot of resources, human resources as well as financial resources. We also know fruitful growth can only happen with the power of God s Spirit as our strength. Because our longterm objectives drive us, we have utilized more funds than what might be typical for some organizations in the areas of Administration and Fundraising. It is our belief that the growth we desire for the future is going to take a strong administrative support base. For this reason, our Program expenses (about 65% of our total expenses) make up a smaller percentage of our total expenses than what we have targeted for the future. Eventually, we want to see this percentage much closer to 80%. We will achieve this goal as we begin to add new ministries this year and become more cost efficient in our administrative services. Finally, we are pleased to announce that we are now an accredited organization with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). This is a major accomplishment as we continue to establish a financially sound ministry. % Change 2011/12 2010/11 Total Donations 16.6 % 721,589 618,724 Donations from Individuals 25.2 % 465,234 371,496 Donations from Churches 7.6 % 213,987 198,881 Donations from Organizations -12.4 % 42,368 48,347
