Ransom Towsley: Director at Large Nominee Ransom Towsley is the Senior Director of Community Services for Presbyterian SeniorCare, the largest provider of senior housing and services in Southwestern PA. In 2010 Presbyterian SeniorCare recruited Mr. Towsley to expand its portfolio of senior housing and facility based care into the home and community based services market. In this capacity Ransom acquired a homecare agency and in a short time doubled the agency s revenue and expanded its scope of service offerings. Mr Towsley is now evaluating entering the Medicare home health marketplace and strategies for integrating homecare and home health into the Presbyterian SeniorCare network. Mr. Towsley has over 20 years experience in health care as President and CEO of The Community at Holy Family Manor during which time he developed and implemented a strategic plan to revitalize a campus-based portfolio of health and human services, including homecare, operated by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. As Regional Vice President for Chamberlin Edmonds, an Atlanta based hospital revenue recovery company, Mr. Towsley opened the Pittsburgh office and integrated services into the UPMC Health System. As Executive Director of Community LIFE, one of Pennsylvania s early Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Mr. Towsley developed and operated one of the most successful PACE programs in the country, and also worked closely with the PA Department of Public Welfare in the development of operational and regulatory processes for expansion of LIFE/PACE in Pennsylvania. Mr. Towsley is a past board member of the National PACE Association (NPA) and the Pennsylvania Adult Day Services Association (PADSA) and is a current member of the LeadingAge national task force on adult day services, the LeadingAge PA public policy committee and the SouthWestern PA Partnership on Aging (SWPPA) public policy committee. Mr. Towsley was recently appointed by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to the panel of reviewers for the current round of Health Care Innovations Awards ( HCIA-Round 2) submissions and has been a speaker at national, state and regional conferences. Mr. Towsley received a master of health administration and a master of business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
